For my Fire WL, Vigor is the aura I look for, I love it. That demon is sick, just wish she had Stone skin as it helps a ton with lancer survivability. If so, I would really want her for my fire WL.kerph wrote: 4 days ago

Have you found she can tank OK in Uber Tristram and Ancients? Mine had a bad time with Lilith, but she found Lilith way before I did, so I didn't even notice her health drop. I had to port out a few times with a failed Ancients attempt, but she held long enough for me to react. I didn't have these affixes though.kerph wrote: 4 days ago

I'm wondering if Stone Skin + Cursed + Magic Resistant would be the best tank version of Lancer. Tradeoff is fewer Amp procs, but you would still gain Cold Immunity (I think), up to 85% fire res and 83% physical res. Nothing you can do about poison, which is stuck at 15% res. Absolute Beast if you get Fanaticism or Concentration.
I briefly had a Ghostly dark lancer, whoch comes inherent with 80% physical resistance (just 3% shy of Stone skin) and lightning immune. She does fine in Uber Tristram (pull Mephisto first, then she can take diablo/ Baal together) and Colossal Summit is a breeze provided i'm wearing Flickering Flame. With Lilith i just never let her fight with Amplify Damage on, go to Malah first to take it off and put up one Goatman. I find i don't need Stone skin so i'm still looking for lightning enchanted / cursed lancer with Fanaticism. My current one has Holy Freeze
but her curse uptime means she's still better than my plain old Blunderbore from cursed tzJust bought 100 3x3 Keyset so wish me luck o7
Also wanted to add, Colossal Summit is pretty much a non-option unless you have triple immune (so, lightning and cold + Flickering Flame). Any demon (ime) will die in 2-3 hits at best to the ancient they're not immune to

wait ghosts (apparition they are called i believe) in the tombs do lightning dmg?
that kinda explains why they instantly deleted a normally almost immortal Valkyrie a couple of weeks back - she must have been not immune, and lightning dmg can roll extremely high. makes sense?
and btw.. valk is the best minion

Willowisps, Wraiths and Finger Mages are sometimes collectively referred to as ghosts.

Interesting, I had thought about doing the light/cold immune + flickering come combo, but I wasn’t sure if it would work. Do you use a lancer or Blunderbore or some thing else? It works to make them immune but i find it's not enough resist after Uber Talic's Conviction to be reliably survivable

For an inherent immunity (via base resistance or granted via an elite mob modifier like lightning enchanted - lightning and cold in this example), Conviction suffers the 1/5 penalty just like for players when breaking enemy immunities.
For immunities granted via skills (such as auras), Conviction works at full effect.
So it helps a lot if your demon has high base fire resistance and/or some modifier that increases its fire resistance without making it immune.

(Not sure the base resists for Matron's Den lancer) but Blunderbore (gorebelly/mauler variant) has 50% base fire, so 110% with Tainted and 150% with Flickering Flame. Meaning demon is taking 80% more fire damage after Uber Talic Conviction with Tainted vs Flickering Flame
I will say in my runs with Flickering Flame, my demon usually loses at most 1/4 hp to Uber Talic if anything, vs dying every other run with Summon Tainted's aura. It felt like a much bigger difference than 80%. So maybe there is a soft breakpoint there with Uber Talic's damage and Bind Demon's healing, i'm not sure.
Theoretically you could bind one with “Magic Resistant”, which adds +40% to each of cold, fire and lightning as long as it doesn’t increase an existing immunity or create a third immunity (each element considered individually). The gorebelly/mauler would then have 90% base fire resistance (before any aura).
