Cannot be frozen - Rare only run

Is there still no other option than a

Cham rune for cannot be frozen, outside of uniques and set items? So it cannot roll on any rare or at least maybe crafted items or rare juwelz?

Im on a non unique/set/runeword run and its super fun. Hell awaits me and i guess its not fun at all for a

Cleaver without cannot be frozen.

Till now it was very cool to build up your own Gear with socketed items and all the mediocre juwelz, mid runes etc. But a

Cham rune is a bit tuff (offline).

There is no CNBF affix, ergo it can't spawn in magic / rare items.
So with your restrictions, you have to chuck thawing potions.

Some RWs has CBF affix from the RW itself, so they do not need the

Cham rune (and most are cheaper):

• Hearth
• Wisdom
• Eternity
• Voice of Reason
• Wrath
• Rhyme

Ok thx. I may make a deal with the devil. Im going to farm cows for some time and when a

Cham drops, i have to use it for the run and if not i can make an exception, when "cannot be frozen" is going to be essential to have fun with this further on. Never found a

Cham, so for sure it gonna drop now, when i want to "waste" it^^

I always want to use

The Gladiator's Bane. Could be a nice and more rare "exception" for the build. The defense + reduced magic damage/damage is looking pretty good for a

Cleave build, jumping into mobs. I mean it looks rare, isnt it?

Sash if you want to bend the rules; atleast it almost have nothing for itself except cbf

You mean it brings the penalty for making exceptions right with it. Nothing else. Yeah i need to contemplate, while murdering cows.

Either keep chugging thawing potions, run a caster so you don't have to worry much about it or accept it as an added challenge of your artificially limited run.

Its easier to get more important stats for a melee build by rare gear, jewels, runes from the start and so on.

But a switch to a caster in hell is an idea. Maybe i have to identify all the rare staves on my way. Or what rare weapons can roll +to FCR?

never knew there was a rune for frozen. this changes quite a bit....

Magic/rare orbs, staffs, wands; circlets/diadems/coronets; rings, amulets; crafted

Also don't sleep on the "socketed magic weapon" recipes (3

Chipped Gems / 3 flawless gems). Of the apprentice/of the magus rolls quite often.

To me your title seems clear - you can only use rare items. If its not rare its a no-go. But are you allowing yourself "up to rare"? White and blue items are OK?
Half Freeze Duration can spawn on blue. Its not CBF but its better than nothing.

Yes, its more up to rare. Half freeze duration is still on some of the rare gear i use. Rolls quite often.

Cleave Rarelock feels very powerfull. Damage, Res, attackspeed, lifeleech and you re shredding.

Was super lucky yesterday with a

Eth

Legend Sword Base at

Charsi and got the Repair Mod + 1 Socket and even mana leech, sadly a bit low on Ed.

I also upgraded one even stronger rare to a

Champion Sword with +215 ed, +2 eldrich skills, 6 % mana leech and 1 socket. But its very expensive to repair and the

Eth

Legend Sword isnt that far behind.

The itemisation of D2R feels even better on such a run, cause you cannot say what weapon or gear you want to use later on. Like a specific Runewords or Unique, which would be BiS and so on. Upgrading, gambling, imbueing, using jewels, runes and all stuff the game has to offer.
