Description
When I kill an enemy in a barricaded tower (in Frigid Highlands for example), the tower completely disappears and I am able to walk through it. I don't think this used to be the case unless I am experiencing some wild Mandela effect. Was this changed for RotW or even earlier and I never noticed?

I noticed that too! thought it was weird, and I also don't recall them disappearing before RotW, so you're not the only one!

They added that after RotW, I remember destroying towers with a warlock and it leaving the shell. now it is just removed
Yes, same here (D2R LoD). Assuming it's indeed a bug (it could be an intended, but undocumented change, but that's a long shot), it is one of those very rare bugs worth preserving as features. It's not game-breaking, and feels like a QoL. Suddenly there is an incentive to destroy those towers, instead of them being only damage sponges.

Barricaded towers are back to the way they were. Very annoying. I preferred the change were there was no rubble and it was passable. Hopefully they fix this.

Ok so they fixed this. New question! Have you always been able to Whirlwind right through these towers? Because I can with my Barb. Possibly intended but I never noticed!

Checked with D2 1.14d. I was able to whirl through Barricade Towers and Barricades (stone), but not Barricaded Doors (wooden). Those things have always been buggy IIRC
