Which monster kills you the most?

Not necessarily the hardest to kill, or the most annoying to kill; Which monster causes the most Grief and experience loss for you?

I most commonly farm on a multishot bowazon, in

Chaos Sanctuary or in the Worldstone Keep.

Bone Fetish and

Willowisp do not give me much trouble in the latter since I keep distance and use

Valkyrie to bait attacks.
Despite the slowness of their projectiles compared to the

Willowisp, Hell Temptress

Succubus fireballs(?) single-handedly account for most of my deaths in WSK.
I have been hard-stuck at level 94 exclusively because of their annoying fireballs. Besides

Slow Missiles, what stat negates these attacks? Fire resistance? Magic resistance? Defense against missiles?

Anyways... what monster kills you the most?

I'm also running a level 94 bowazon, except with the focus on

Freezing Arrow. Whenever I see some

Succubus projectiles coming towards me, my standard reaction is to fire a couple

Arrows in the direction from which they were launched, then just go out of their way. Even if the

Arrows don't kill them all immediately, they chill them enough that they stop firing for a moment, allowing me to approach and finish them off.

Not sure about the damage type of their missiles, some sources say magic, some say physical.

My own deaths since I've entered level 94 have come almost exclusively from Heralds when split farming in a game with 6-7 other players.

Herald gets spawned with Extra Fast or

Teleport and kills me before I can even look. Because I'm stupid, I think I can take him with help gear, so I die a second time and ask for help. This sequence has happened like three times already, you'd think I'd have learned by now. But what would life be without risk?

Herald packs with Extra Strong + Might +

Concentration Aura stacked and Cursed. Tends to slap pretty hard, lol.

Honestly I think two of my HC deaths can be attributed to beetle packs however, one of them a

Herald pack with some combo of the above, and the other just a TZ mob with might aura and I forget what else.

I'd have to say only ones i have a bad time with is the Dolls.

My 98lvl sorc (sc) killed yesterday in Worldstone , ghosts+dolls. I really shouldn't be farming with Oculus...

Dolls. The targeting on console tends to cause a lot of dolls to die closer to you than intended (since you can't aim in the space between you and the oncoming mob to cut them off).

Dolls and Souls. I always end up killing a doll behind a corner or teleporting right into a pile of them while merc kills and BOOM dead all.
Oh so many times ive lost life on that.

But souls, they shoot you before you can even SEE them and they often hit before the lightning even actually HITS the player. But from souls and dolls, dolls are definitely the worst.

For me its unexpectedly Minotaurs . Since I mostly played melee build this type of fast and strong enemy very unpredictable .

Shout from one or two rooms away that I have to do something, I get distracted and take some hits from monsters, sometimes fatal.

Does "lack of caffeine" count as a monster? Feels like it should.

I straight up screamed when I landed in a mass of terrorized souls AND dolls. My wife thought something serious happened, which it did.

Corpse Explosion magic. At least it is for my blizzard sorceress. I agree for the Dolls and Souls too.

Other than dolls and souls in the worldstone keep, I often am sloppy positioning my blizz sorc in the

Chaos Sanctuary and Venom lords kil me

Souls by a wide margin. Almost died twice to them today on

Baal speed runs with my lvl 98 sorc. that would have hurt. need to make good on own pledge and switch from Enigma to CoH on that sorc, price of failure is just too high
