Interesting. I just logged out and back in to see if my bound Heph still had Conviction and he does. I can also still use a two-handed staff with a shield.

Oh well that's great news then! I thought it was Resist Fire aura based on this online aura chart. I did confirm, though, that I cannot bind a new Heph due to lack of hard points.
