Warlock after 3.2: No more 156 STR for Spirit Monarch - still 163 STR for Wraithstep

Description
Since they are about to restrict 2H+shield, I would really like them to maybe change the base item for Wraithstep for it not to be Mirrored Boots and be some other base instead that wouldn't require 163 STR. I love +1 to Demon skills but I'm not happy to have to invest 163 STR I won't even be needing for anything else other than these Boots. Horazon's Dominion is 97 STR, I'd love that to be the limit of STR investment.

With a point in Levitation Mastery you reduce the amount of points needed
Only the reqs of weapons, not armor.
Anyway, if you want to wear Wraithstep, or any other heavy item, you can still put the required stat points into strength. Not every build needs to go full vita, especially given that Warlock already has multiple defensive buffs available (Consume, Blood Oath, Psychic Ward).
Aye, locks get massive life pools anyways. They can more than afford to give up a bit of vita for some str (or not come Enigma as that covers most/all of it).
Especially considering how massive of a bonus +1 to your main skill tree is for Boots.
But does not every point you place in str contribute to your damage output? Atleast with Echoing Strike.. so you might want to put 200 points into it regardless of what you equip... and I assume Gore Riders will still be a better choice
I have Travs on my FireLock, fine with that. But #1 reason I would not consider Wraithstep is what the OP pointed out. It really makes no sense to have an item with these requirements. Hence why the Boots have little value.

This is what it boils down to. You can omit a +1 skill, but you don't need 3500-4000 health with warlock. Put points into strength to up your ES and MB damage output. It's free real estate.

They could have just added a -10% Requirements to the Boots or something. I assume they wanted to use the base because it wasn't being used by another unique yet.

I see these as very endgame Boots. At that point, you've got a lot of STR from gear: Enigma ~70
Mara = 5
Anni = 20
HF = 20
Base STR = 15
== 130
Then you only need 33 points in STR, and that's without random STR showing up on your rare gear/charms. Sure, -10-20% requirements might mean you need to respec to zero points in STR/DEX/INT, but not sure if that is necessary.
Note: full summoner here, so STR gives no other benefit than gear for me, as opposed to other lock builds.
