The unique
Claws in this game are not particularly impressive, because they cannot spawn with skills, and they are never best in slot. For example for martial arts build Mosaic is a must. For lightning trap you need Crescent Moon Runeword or a +3 sentry magic claw. For the
Whirlwind build you need high attack speed claw.

But for
Blade Fury this is a very good weapon. The constant frame speed of the skill ignores the slow attack speed of the claw type, and due to ethereal it has one of the highest possible damage rolls. Look at the stats, the minimum damage starts where the other unique
Claws max damage stops. Potentially only an ethereal
War Fist with the cruel mod can surpass this. Using this additionally opens up the bonuses from
Claw Mastery and the 0.75x Dex and Str damage formula, which are not available on other weapons on this build. It only lacks a decent crushing blow or open wounds modifier, which it makes up for with the crowd control. The mana after each kill also helps mitigate the use of
Blade Fury and you will not need as many potions
