Yeah it's still referenced today in many discussions - great great resource. I used it a number of times to de-mystify in-game skill damage formulas when I was building the skill calculator here.
The Amazon Basin is still being updated for D2R by a couple of people. I think Trang Oul has been helping with that, among others.
