Season 13

No news so far today. Considering that for previous ladder, the annoucement came out the thursday of the week before the friday which ladder started, we can assume this excludes Jan 30th.

Unless we see a rushed out statement by saturday i think we're being set for the 6th.

I found this in the Blizzard forums this morning. I don't know if it's authentic or not so it could use some verification but it does sound plausible.

Yes, this is authentic. Exelion is an official blizzard employee as you can see from his profile pic (only blizzard employees can use this avatar) and other sources confirmed that Blizzards toiled cleaner has been hospitalized. Rumours are he cought severe diarrhea from playing D3 for too long - but this wasn't confirmed yet so take it with a pinch of salt.

I hope the cleaner recovers soon. Can't wait for those refreshing improvements awaiting us next season!

All jokes aside we should be getting news this thursday if it's planned for the 6th. If we don't, then i guess we've been forgotten my fellow gamers......

EDIT : I still think new ladder season comes feb 6th it would be very silly if not. With the news they may announce it on feb 11th which means it's gonna come feb 20th but imo that's way too late.

Because announcements were usually made two weeks before the start, excluding the previous season.

It's pretty nice to start Season 13 on the 13th with new content.

Friday the 13th would be terrible. It's valentine's day. It's gonna set a slow start for the season. Not that big of a deal tbh but it's just poor planning imo.

Let's not kid ourselves here guys. If ladder reset and valentine's day are on the same day, the valentines are suffering, not the ladder.
Putting the restart on the 13th might be excellent planning since Blizzard removes unnecessary distractions from its gamers by causing some break ups.

I'm guessing after their announcement. Will see if we get more tabs or the Nerf.

I just started a Mosaic Assassin in ladder only 18 having a real slow start Hope to get free time to level it to try it on ladder. Normally play non ladder.

Well, Marcus Kretz (the community manager) posted on X yesterday saying there will be an update next week. That rules out a February 6th reset, I guess. Feb 13th or 20th, it is.

D2R is such a beautiful looking game, so many people jumped ship from D3/D4 to come play it but I feel like... what have they done with it? Really little to nothing the last few years, even without re-inventing the wheel so many Uniques could be tweaked like

Tyrael's Might, Death's

Cleaver, and Orphans Call, Disciple, Aldurs, Natalyas, etc. all of these could be significantly improved making the items more playable and offering more powerful complete set bonuses and improved damage to compete with their runeword counterparts. Someone even mentioned like a "hybridization" of Uniques cube recipe-- it's almost homage to the glitched items for runewords, but you can only do with up to 2 uniques to fuses similar affixes and stats together, this sort of mix and match ability would just open up to infinite potential combos... picture like how

Iron Golem is.

They should also make an Uber Hellcow portal that spawns. Literally cow level with Entire Uber gang... you're absolutely cooked, unless you're god-tier.

Actually considering the game is 20 years old and they "resurrected" it out of nowhere just a few years ago, I'd say there's A LOT more content here and QoL changes since the game came out. The reason ppl keep "jumping" - The magic isn't there.

This game has SOOOOO MUCH to offer if you look for it. When you look for BiS what do you look for? DAMAGE!!! Right? Wrong. I built a smiter and was ridiculed for using

Heaven's Light over Grief because DAMAGE. He's a Paladin. He's not allowed by Oath to use anything other than a bludgeoning weapon. It's a ROLE PLAYING GAME. In essence, we are playing Dungeons and Dragon with virtual paper (a GUI). Anyway, my Sorc uses a

Lower Resist

Wand on swap for immunes instead of the "meta" CtA (which does nothing for immunes and that's 100% what you gear for in solo Hell difficulty.)

Because of D Clone I had an opportunity to build a Smiter who does not rely on a merc and is theme built. If you want to enjoy the game more, immerse yourself in it. Don't just say, oh I already do max damage the games over.

There is this place, discord communities, I just started a group for PS called "Diabruhs". We sometimes just go to Lut Gohlein and hang out in the Tavern with

Atma and just... chill.

You wish the game had more? Like the bug fixes, new graphics, runewords, D clone,

Pandemonium Event, keys, essence, etc... It's 20 years old and most of us still have yet to scratch the surface, on top of everything they gave us for the "resurrected" remake. If you looked at a chess board and used the pieces to play checkers, you'd say chess sucks. Play chess like it's meant to be played. Play D2R like the hero you were meant to be.

Just my 2 cents. Not everything is about DAMAGE! Enjoy playing the game in a wonderful atmosphere with new and old players and graphics you can set to your liking (I play on legacy bc I'm old lol). There are some ppl who came back to this game after 20 years to play with their kids. Idk how Blizzard does it (well they don't anymore), but I play Star Craft 2 also, and these two games are the most evergreen games I've seen in DECADES.

The magic, that's why we all come back.
