is here anyone online that could help me and my friend get back to Uber Tristram, open a portal, so we can get out stuff back?
We overestimated our powers
the downside is that mefisto and Baal are right next to the portal
never heard of that, that's really cool and literally saved our a**es todaySauROnmiKE wrote: 15 hours agoIf there are at least two of you in a game and you don't want to risk it disappearing, one of you at a time can exit and then rejoin to get your stuff back.
You don't need two people in a game to save and exit and rejoin. For Ubers it's best to make a password game, and once the game has been running for a few minutes you can quit and save and then rejoin even if you're a solo player. After I've collected all uber organs I will sometimes quit and join with a another of my builds to cleanup areas I missed. Try it, go make a password protected game in lobby, play for a few minutes, quit and save and then rejoin.leskito wrote: 15 hours agonever heard of that, that's really cool and literally saved our a**es todaySauROnmiKE wrote: 15 hours agoIf there are at least two of you in a game and you don't want to risk it disappearing, one of you at a time can exit and then rejoin to get your stuff back.
I know this, but sometimes you just click play from the main menu. If so, you can do what I wrote above.mhlg wrote: 15 hours agoYou don't need two people in a game to save and exit and rejoin. This is why we need scientists!ShadowHeart wrote: 6 hours agoYeah, games can be empty for up to ~5 minutes before expiring, so you have plenty of time to rejoin on disconnect, even on full PC crashes. I can also often come back to find my game still up after switching region for a trade (it depends on how long the trade(s) took, of course). There's also no minimum time to be in a game to "perm" it - you can literally create a game, leave it immediately, wait <5 minutes on lobby screen, and then rejoin it. The only condition is that you don't make/join another game in between. Empty games will expire instantly if you make/join a new game. Basically, the servers keep track of one game per account and region.
- If you create game A, and leave, you can rejoin it within 5 minutes.
- If you create game A, leave, make/join game B, game A will instantly expire even if it has been less than 5 minutes.
It gets a bit more complicated when involving multiple accounts, but it works on the same basic Principle:
- If you create game A, have another account join game A (game A is now tracked for both accounts), both accounts leave game A, both accounts can rejoin game A within 5 minutes.
- If you create game A, have another account join game A (game A is now tracked for both accounts), both accounts leave game A, the first account makes/joins game B while the second account remains on lobby screen, you can still rejoin game A within 5 minutes.
- If you create game A, have another account join game A (game A is now tracked for both accounts), both accounts leave game A, the first account makes/joins game B and the second account makes/join game C, game A instantly expires even if it has been less than 5 minutes.
I have more than one account and I tested the game expiration extensively back when I first got my second account, because I was curious to find out exactly how it worked.
Are you sure? Has it been changed in D2R?ShadowHeart wrote: 6 hours agoThere's also no minimum time to be in a game to "perm" it - you can literally create a game, leave it immediately, wait <5 minutes on lobby screen, and then rejoin it.
/time command, waiting 6 minutes (to account for seconds, which are not displayed by the command) and using the command again.
