Thanks. so basically not much benefit (as opposed to 1.15*400% would +460% enhanced damage)Spectie wrote: 3 days agoadditivelyipatrishkov wrote: 3 days agoif i make an enhanced dmg runeword into a superior weapon, will the two enhanced dmg modifiers (from superior and rw) stack additively or multiplicatively
IE if you roll a 400% ed and it already has 15% ed from being a perfect superior - it would be 415% ed on the base weapon damage

If you are thinking of ethereal weapons (50% more damage), those stack! So Eth weapons with 400 ed deal 6x the base damage of the non- Eth version.

No. It's still only lvl 4 Frost Nova. Even with maxed synergies and CM you won't deal relevant damage.ipatrishkov wrote: 3 days agoOk this one is a tricky question. If I make 10 hit power crafted items and I have 50% chance to cast Frost Nova when struck, will I be very powerful?

I saw a video where a group stacked up a whole bunch to chance to cast gear and just stood there while the Ubers killed themselves on level 5 charged Bolts.ipatrishkov wrote: 3 days agoBut I will be shining like a disco ball, wouldn't Ivued wrote: 3 days agoNo. It's still only lvl 4 Frost Nova. Ubers died from Static Field and Fire Wall (cancels regen). Question reagarding Phase- Blade Grief for a Smiter Paladin:
I googled and I found a lot of information about IAS breakpoints.
To make it short: Most sources said, that with a Grief Phase Blade you always get to the max attack speed for Smite, because it is capped at 6 FPA. And with the IAS that a PhaseBlade has you only need a little more IAS. Which Grief provides more than enough, even with the lowest IAS roll on Grief possible.
Is that correct?
I rolled my Grief yesterday and I got
31% IAS, +400!!! (perfect), -25% Poison Resistance to the enemy (perfect, but probably irrelevant)
So if I am correct that Grief in a PhaseBlade is enough with any roll for max Smite-attack speed, my Grief rolled perfectly, no?

It depends on your Fanaticism level.WedgeAntilles wrote: 2 days agoQuestion reagarding Phase- Blade Grief for a Smiter Paladin:

If you don’t have Fanaticism, it takes 65 IAS to reach 6fpa Smite. So 25-35 from other gear depending on your Grief’s IAS roll (you would need 34 more in your case).
With level 1 Fanaticism you need 37 IAS in total, so Grief could be enough on its own. In your case you’d need 6 more IAS somewhere.
With level 2 Fanaticism you need 30 IAS, so any Grief roll is enough on its own. Same with higher level Fanaticism, of course.
There’s an attack speed calculator here which is up to date with all changes in D2R:
attackspeed.php?char=Paladin&data=5-0-P ... -0-0-0-0-0
(link pre-filled for Smite with Phase Blade and level 2 Fanaticism)

I recall 34 and 38 being 2 important breakpoints for 2 different reasons:
One where you fight meph without fana (because you have Conviction or Salvation on).
The other when fighting Duriel and being slowed by his cold aura.
But I might be wrong about the actual numbers. Those 2 situations should still be checked when determining IAS breakpoints for Uber smiters.

Barb/assassin: How are weapon attributes applied when wielding two weapons?
Example 1: I have one weapon A with -X% to enemy cold resistance and weapon B with cold damage. Will the enemy have reduced cold resistance when I hit it with weapon B?
Example 2: Weapon A has "Slain monsters rest in Peace". Will they remain dead when killed with weapon B?

The Diablo Clone spawns, when a certain amount of SoJs are sold, correct?
Who sells an SoJ to a vendor? And how do you find this many SoJs?
Bots?

Correct. In single player you will spawn DClone if you sell only one SoJ. You lose the ring and Dclone spawns and if you save/exit before killing him, he is gone so you have to defeat him in one session.WedgeAntilles wrote: 1 day agoThe Diablo Clone spawns, when a certain amount of SoJs are sold, correct?

On multiplayer it is divided by region and Ladder/NL. Once a total of six SoJ's a number of SoJ's (I misunderstood the tracker, I don't actually know for sure the total number) are sold by anyone in your region (multiple people can sell) DClone will spawn. If you are not in game when he spawns, he will not spawn when you log in later. If you log out before killing, then he despawns just like single player.
You can farm for SoJ. NM Andariel is a good spot, but still requires hundreds if not thousands of runs.
I personally think that most of the SoJ for the regular walk events do in fact come from bots.
Our great overlord Teebling has a forum for this specifically.

It is much more than 6 to complete a cycle online. From all the hosted walks I've seen on streams I would assume about 80-100.RackAnewShoe wrote: 1 day agoOn multiplayer it is divided by region and Ladder/NL. Good catch. Now that you mention it, I don't actually know for certain how many are necessary. I edited my post. Thank you.sTonedmason wrote: 1 day agoIt is much more than 6 to complete a cycle online. It's 75-125 total for a walk.sTonedmason wrote: 1 day agoIt is much more than 6 to complete a cycle online. From all the hosted walks I've seen on streams I would assume about 80-100.
The number required per stage has no upper/lower bound though, it seems completely randomized (meaning a single stage could sometimes take just a few SoJs and sometimes 50+ SoJs).
The game is infested with bots. A lot of the items you see on trading sites have been originally acquired by bots (and possibly/probably changed hands multiple times before it reaches you). There's literally thousands of bots, maybe tens of thousands, nobody really knows the true number.WedgeAntilles wrote: 1 day agoWho sells an SoJ to a vendor? And how do you find this many SoJs?
Bots?
The selling is done both by bots and by people deliberately trying to spawn dclone (such as streamers or communities doing it publicly). The slow trickling progress you see that can take hours, days, even weeks (on NL anyway) between stages is most definitely bots, nobody sells SoJs to vendors by mistake. I mean, I'm sure it has happened, but not that many. Whenever it walks by progressing really fast through the stages, it's because someone is deliberately selling in order to spawn dclone. I.e., a planned event.
In order of rarity (most common first):
- On softcore ladder these walk events are usually hosted by streamers, sometimes by random D2R community members.
- On softcore non-ladder these kinds of walks are rare, the only public/planned ones are the weekly ones on Americas by TLD (The Last Dynasty), a D2R community Discord server.
- On hardcore ladder these are usually done by private groups (the "anni mafia") who wants to control the anni supply, with a few public walks throughout each season by streamers. SoJs are prohibitively expensive to acquire on HCL in the numbers required for a walk, and streamers interested in doing it are few, so public walks are rare.
- On hardcore non-ladder... well there are none, simple as that. Well, except Xanhast's annual holiday walk event (he's a member here on diablo2.io, he has hosted a few HCNL walks in December the last couple of years as a holiday event).
Over at the D2R Clone Hunters Discord server we aim to announce every planned walk ahead of time (and assist with killing them as needed). We don't catch them all, but that's impossible (since some groups are quite deliberately not wanting anyone except their own group to know about it ahead of time).

Why do I go from clowning on mobs in Nightmare to barely being able to kill a Fallen in hell as a Physical damage barb?
