Is there any reason to make a non-expansion character these days, or is that still in the game just for feature parity with legacy D2?
There are people who still play non-expansion in D2R, mostly as a challenge (no rune words, no elite items, only normal uniques, only 3 unique amulets, only 3 unique rings, etc) or for some variety. Some also play non-expansion to run crushes (classic rushes), which lets you rush people to Hell without having to go through Act 5, you can entirely bypass Ancients and
Baal
on normal and nightmare. You convert the chars to expansion after reaching act 3 in hell.

I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.
My profile says Softcore, but I play both Softcore and Hardcore.
My Holy Grail Tracker is for Offline Hardcore.

I can think of a few reasons:
  • no OP items (read: 1.10 RWs)
  • no RWs and much fewer unique/set items - more build variety; rare items can be endgame-viable
  • each class feels unique, instead of being homogenized by oskills and same BiS RWs
  • no ladder-only content - no FOMO, you can chill and play on NLD

Why do the monster types get so randomized in Nim/Hell Act 5? This has always bothered me, it makes A5 feel less distinct and is the only act that gets legit boring for me in Nim/Hell
How else do you expect them to make 50% of the enemies
Skeleton
archers and gloams?

I'm not sure how to use the BattleTag from the Switch. I wanted to accept a trade offer here, and the other player has posted his BT. But I can't find anywhere to use it to add friend in the game or through the battle.net website.

Edit: specifically this trade: trade/trang-oul-s-claws-t1649031.html

Help an old man buy some gloves? :p

I did my very first trade on switch today. And all I've got to say is it sucks :) you gotta add other player's id to your friends in switch os itself, not in the game. After that you have to send invite him/her to your game (create a private game -> party screen -> "-" to get to the friend list)... or something like that

Currency in my NL trades(mix&match):

I'm not selling

Have a great one!

You gotta add each other by Switch code. Go to "Add Friend" from your home screen on the switch and you should be able to find your own to send people trying to add you, and you should be able to also add other users by inputting theirs. You can also add users by "Recently Played With"

Plus: very limited stash space, which forces you to take decisions regarding your gear, rather than keeping basically any item you like.

OP
Is this worth anything? I figure the extra lightning damage + the sockets could make it worth something to a lightning sorc build, but I have no idea what a fair price would be.

Hi there!
About the jewels:
makes difference if you socket enhanced damage on the weapon or in another piece of equipment? and the jewels that have other stats (min/ max damage/ attack speed/ rating) do difference too?@

Greetings, traveler!

In the realm of Sanctuary, the way you socket jewels can have varying effects depending on where they are placed. Allow me to explain:

Enhanced Damage Jewels:
- When a jewel with the Enhanced Damage attribute is socketed into a weapon, it increases the weapon's base damage, and this additional damage is then multiplied by any other damage multipliers (such as skills or strength bonuses). This makes it particularly potent when used directly in weapons.
- If the same jewel is socketed into armor, shields, or helms, the Enhanced Damage applies only as an overall bonus to the total physical damage, rather than increasing the base weapon damage. This can be less effective compared to socketing it directly into a weapon.

Jewels with Other Stats (Min/Max Damage, Attack Speed, Attack Rating):
- Min/Max Damage: These effects apply universally and add to your weapon's damage irrespective of where they are socketed, influencing both your minimum and maximum potential damage output.
- Increased Attack Speed (IAS): This attribute affects the speed of your attacks and is most effective when socketed into weapons, allowing for faster striking. However, IAS will still contribute to your attack speed when placed in other equipment, although its impact can differ based on character class and current equipment setup.
- Attack Rating: Provides an increase to your ability to hit enemies more reliably, applying universally regardless of where the jewel is socketed.

Understanding the interaction between jewels and sockets empowers you to maximize your character's potential in battle. So choose wisely! If you have more questions about the mysteries of Sanctuary, feel free to ask.

Stay awhile and listen...

This is an AI-generated response. Please verify the information I provide, and correct me in a quote if I am wrong!

35000
Gold
from a vendor. Even if it would be a better roll (2 sorc, 3 lightning) it would be still inferior to other options. Simply there are no rare 2 handed staves worth anything.

There's a bug with jewels that has both ED% and min/max damage if you put them in any non-weapon item.

See here for more details:
post3267256.html#p3267256

EDIT: I should clarify - it's not just if the same jewel has both ED% and min/max damage, the bug also affects situations where the item already has min/max damage (whether by itself or via another jewel doesn't matter) and you put an ED% jewel in it. But again, only for non-weapons. The linked post has all the details.

Thanks for the warning. By your coment and the Deckard's, if the jewel has ED, best put it in the weapon. If not, can be used in another item (shield, helmet or armor)

We've got a specific Price Check section of this website right here:
price-check/

I'm willing to accept other forms of currency. Like Tokens, Keys,
Perfect Gems
, and certain minor runes in lieu of my asking price. I'm also willing to accept rune combinations that add up to my asking price.

if i make an enhanced dmg runeword into a superior weapon, will the two enhanced dmg modifiers (from superior and rw) stack additively or multiplicatively

additively
IE if you roll a 400% ed and it already has 15% ed from being a perfect superior - it would be 415% ed on the base weapon damage

Does
Conviction
work on
Holy Bolt
? It seems to be a staple in a
Fist of the Heavens
build, but does it only affect the initial lightning damage from FOH?

Ok this one is a tricky question. If I make 10 hit power crafted items and I have 50% chance to cast
Frost Nova
when struck, will I be very powerful?
