Description

Hi

Never thought about it before, but...

Today I realize that only a few monster can drop 2 class skill amulet (ilvl 90), on non-TZ areas 🤔

Baal
L99
Nihlathak
L95
Diablo L94
Minion of Destruction
(normal) L92

And in a similar way, just a few monsters, on non-TZ areas, can drop a 6 ml ring (ilvl 86). In special on L85 areas, just the Champions and Uniques may drop one 🤔

Is this right? 🤔

I have rolled a few rings and ammys from TZ's and most come out OK, but only 1 came to a +2 skills.

Sometimes it's worth rolling them just to see, especially if you're in a 96+ TZ, in my opinion.

What do you mean by re-roll?

Crafted?
🤔 Only if you don't have enough level to guarantee the max alvl on gamble (for ring L91 - 6 ml has alvl 86 - and L95 for amulet - 2 class skill has alvl 90), or else you can just gamble them.

Recipe: Random Magic Item of Same Type
?
It is a gem waste, better gamble them and use gems to re-roll other things (mainly charms and jewels)

Recipe: Random Magic Amulet
and
Recipe: Random Magic Ring
?
Use your level not the item level, and can never give you a 2 class skill amulet or a 6 ml ring (alvl = level * .75)

My point with the post was more of a 'curiosity" for the natural drops on non-tz:

On non-tz, you will never get a natural drop 2 class skill amulet or 6 ml ring from a normal monster (except from
Minion of Destruction
), and the first one can only natural drop from 3 uniques!!!

As nowadays, in general, people prefer to do
Terror
Zones, this curiosity is not a issue in practice 😉

Yes, crafting.

Using TZ rings and amulets was the only way I can get a potentially high enough iLvl to roll something good, as I've only been playing again for 2 months and my highest lvl character is currently 92.

👍

Because of the formula if you reach L93 you can start gambling amulets for crafting 🤞

93/2 = 46 (your level part)
+
(93-5)/2 = 44 (gambled amulet part)
=
90 (ilvl of the crafted amulet)

😉🤓

Is this formula the same for max affix options on rings as well?

Yep.

Gambled items ilvl is character level -5/+4

Crafted ilvl is half you level + half item level (each rounded down)

In the case of items with quality level 1 (case of rings and amulets): affix level = item level.

So:

character level 93 -> gambled item level 88+ -> crafted item level 90+ (enough for amulets roll 2 to class skill)

character level 89 -> gambled item level 84+ -> crafted item level 86+ (enough for rings roll with 6 ml)
