And so it came to pass... I bought another instance of game and decided to make a little "fashion show", there will probably be more combos and diversity in the future but I mainly wanted to make are single colored characters that will be played very specifically depending on which color they are assigned to. I won't make it too long, will probably let the idea present itself BUT I would like to hear your suggestions and HELP (with some of the colors/options) on how I can improve them and to, well, share to others who got bored with meta builds to maybe try this as a challenge if they have time, space and well will to do! I did cut some corners but if you want some real challenge you can 'house rule' modify anything for yourself (for example first thing that comes to my mind is doing a complete SSF with each such character which was just too much for me).

So what was the original idea -- well this post forums/the-green-goblin-t1574188.html gave me an idea to separate characters in groups like Red team, Blue team, Yellow and Green; but then it felt like a bit incomplete so I added White, Black and Brown teams. So I thought of all skills that are connected to a specific color and then listed all the possible builds inside each one. I wanted (and still kinda do) to make all of the possible builds for each color just to see how they look but that will be an extension of this Secret Experimental Project #023 that I'm already horrified in advance because I'm gonna need sooo much stuff and going through games will be sooo slow (in some cases)... Anyway let me go back on track...

After I made a full list/table of all the possible builds it was time to choose the most representative ones for each color. Ofc I did put some things in like "poison Assassin" into the Green part just because green complements the default black of Assassin perfectly (so more options with the gear would instantly open up) buuuut except for
Venom: Skill
Assassin doesn't really have any poison skill so that was kinda on the edge of rules. Then I realized that there are only 2 viable builds to do and those are Poison Javazon and Poison Necro. So I also cut another corner and added Poison Sorceress just for the fact she is naturally green suited (however when it comes to skills it would be very questionable on what to allow her to use). Okay, now's there 4 options to choose from (even tho there are actually only 2 proper ones).

Then I did the same thing with Red - fire, Blue - cold/magic, Yellow/Gold - lightning, White (later I added Grey to this as well) - bone/white skills, but then there was another problem that emerged and that was choosing viable skills and builds for Black and Brown. *Quick note: I also added some alternatives for each of the main 4 color builds (where applicable). When you think about it for some time, there aren't that many "neutral" skills that could go into those 2 categories neither many of which can produce brown or black effects when casting/using. After some time of mixing and matching and making stuff up I finalized it with (what I thought could suit those colors the best or were just leftover skills from some characters):

Black builds

Amazon --
Strafe
; alt. Multishot

Assassin -- Bladesin v0.9 (
Blade Sentinel
/
Blade Fury
/
Blade Shield
)

Necromancer --
Revive
/Melee but then I was like maybe use a few Trang-Oul parts and turn him into Fire Ball/
Meteor
manace (however this didn't seem right) so I would probably go with full melee with just
Revive
as a skill and nothing else (contestant for one of the weakest/worst builds)

Barbarian --
Concentrate
? I was so unsure about this one so I left it as just a "maybe"

Paladin --
Conversion
? Again, same as Barb, just as a crazy option but this time it would suit the dark theme much better

Druid --
Raven
/Vines/Melee (another exception I made for myself -- even tho vines are brown-ish just because this would match with the theme and I was wondering for some time even before this project about how far could you get with Ravens and Vines only)

Brown builds

Amazon --
Impale
/
Fend
?

Assassin --
Shadow Warrior
/Melee with
Claw Mastery
/
Weapon Block
/
Fade
?

Necromancer --
Clay Golem
/Melee/
Weaken
or
Amplify Damage
(very if-y because
Weaken
produces yellow effect and Amp dmg orange one)

Barbarian --
Leap
/
Leap Attack
/
Battle Command
/Battle Order

Paladin --
Blessed Hammer
(I was 99% sure that I'm gonna finally choose this weakened Hammerdin since I never played him before anyway)

Druid -- Bear SS/
Shock Wave
/
Hunger
/
Summon Grizzly

Now it was time to decide which build suits the best what color. BUT I realized there are exactly 7 colors and there are well exactly 7 different characters so I was like PERFECT!! I will choose one and only one for each color so I can constrict myself even further and make myself play some weird quarter build that probably isn't going to work, but I also said that the end goal is not to make them viable to "beat the game" but to see how far can they go + the more important part to make them look good in appropriate color.

To clarify something else that I don't think I mentioned before (I know, I know, I said I won't make it too long but it's meeee after all hehe) not only that I wanted to make them be dressed in a singular color I also wanted ALL OF THEIR GEAR TO BE that exact same color when you open their inventories. Soooo you see where the main issue/problem lies. Something like a full Aldur's set wouldn't work solely because some of it parts are colored differently in inventory even tho they don't visually change anything on the character model (like gloves, belt, boots -- I think weapon could be accepted as "brown", armor and pelt as well but I'm pretty sure
Aldur's Advance
are in fact red). Thanks to @ShadowHeart and this link about colors https://planetdiablo.eu/diablo2/itemdb/ ... &patch=111 also this one https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=68614511 I could easily determine which item is which color even when they were very indistinguishable (even some Uniques made me questioning my own eyes). I also found out that, for example, green gloves DO NOT exist in the game at all (so I had to be a little bit creative or let's say I bent the rules once again just because it was the closest I could do and alternative to this was to just not use anything/leave an empty slot which looked extremely odd)!

In the end...
I have chosen those combos (prone to changes not only because I highly doubt some of the classes will work out with the chosen build but because I don't think they'll look good when they finally get stuck progression/leveling wise):

Blue suit -- Sorceress (
Frozen Orb
/Blizzard)

Green suit -- Amazon (
Plague Javelin
)

Red/Orange suit -- Druid (
Armageddon
/
Oak Sage
or
Heart of Wolverine
)
*However since @vued made The Green Goblin (which also kinda originated from this post forums/best-looking-armor-in-the-game-t1213065.html) I definitely want to also make The Red Flash, yeees I know it's not from the same saga/comic but I just don't care and think he could potentially look awesome -- a red Pally running around with
Charge
bonking things with
Holy Fire
or something, but that's definitely another story...

Yellow/Golden suit -- Paladin
Zeal
/
Holy Shock

White/Grey -- Necromancer (Skeletons/
Iron Golem
/
Bone Armor
/
Bone Prison
) however I ended up doing only Skellies/IG/Melee so far just because I think other Bone stuff are a waste of skills that can be used for synergies

Black -- Assassin (
Blade Sentinel
/
Blade Fury
/
Blade Shield
+
Shadow Warrior
because I think it suits this theme and character the best)

Brown/Tan -- Barbarian (
Leap Attack
/
Leap
/BC/BO)

I am seriously thinking of swapping White and Green but also Yellow and Blue, but I'll decide that after and if I manage to finish the Normal completely with everyone.
I also transferred some gear to get them started and some which would probably be their 'end gear', as well as torches, annis, jewelry (since they can't be colored and only have skins I decided that would also be too much for me to match so I just went with what I thought each build would lack or benefit from the best), charms and some
Gold
to get them started (10k each + some dex/str/all res/skiller/sunder charms). I will continue farming with my main account just so I can find other stuff I still don't have and want to transfer to specific color or maybe if I find something interesting in the magic/rare department that can be used very well (for leveling or end gear doesn't matter).

Main rules for this fashion experiment that I enlisted so far:

-*Each character can use only 1 color (there are 7 colors so each class gets exactly 1, at least for the first time -- later you can do whatever combo you like)
-*All colors must match (if available) -- inventory and 3D model otherwise take the closest thing or leave that slot empty
-Combine the best/most useful stuff not only to look cool but to also be effective (like pure +Life belt is very cool and very red but like Death's belt + gloves are quite strong even tho they are orange so go for that instead)
-Skills must match the color to embrace the immersion unless they don't exist (there isn't really a "black" skill apart from maybe
Revive
or
Conversion
) AND also you are only allowed to use appropriate skills to level up (for example
Armageddon
is not available before lvl 30 so all other fire Druid skills are allowed to be used not only before 30 but also after 30th level as well)
-Magic skills/effects/damage is considered Blue with exception of
Guided Arrow
and
Magic Arrow
belonging to the White category because they look white
-Curses are colored by the color that appears above enemy creature's heads (
Amplify Damage
is orange [Red, Yellow or Brown],
Decrepify
is blue,
Terror
is green, etc.)
-Since
Lower Resist
effect is purple and purple is a mix of blue and red, it can be used with both blue AND red builds (for example wands with LR charges)
-
Vengeance
and
Salvation
are multicolored and can be used with anything
-
Zeal
and Basic/Normal attack are colorless and can be used with anything
-Auras behave like curses, whatever color they produce under your feet is their color BUT can be combined to make a certain color for example blue aura + red aura = purple aura (Purple suit revealed?) or blue + yellow = green etc.
-Mercs are allowed and doesn't need to follow rules except for auras and curses (so don't use an item that gives an aura or curse of a different color [no Infinity/
The Reaper's Toll
spam :P]), Act 2 Merc with
Holy Freeze
is forbidden for Red, Yellow and Green builds
-From the moment you start you cannot use any other color of gear apart from one you belong to and this also goes for belts which makes things far more interesting (especially for some colors like black where you theoretically have a first real belt at level 29 with
Immortal King's Detail
or alt.
Iratha's Cord
at lvl 15 that doesn't give you essentially any bonus apart from more pot slots); starting weapon (and only weapon) is considered colorless and can be used freely
-Skill procs are fine unless they are curses ofc but try to not over-use them
-Skins of facets are considered colorless and can be used freely (like skins for rings & amulets and charms) but their effect should still match -- don't use a fire facet for the cold build
-No rushes and help with leveling up/quests (Players X on SP is still in grey zone)
*Edit/addition on rules (so it's more clear on which skill belongs where and more):
-Blades skills (Assassin) are considered black or grey -- so can be used in black or white category
-
Shadow Warrior
(because she mimics your skills),
Claw Mastery
and
Weapon Block
are considered colorless and can be used with anything
-
Shadow Master
is forbidden because it mimics all skills
-Martial Arts skills that don't have elemental bonuses are considered colorless and can be used with anything
-
Energy Shield
,
Teleport
and
Telekinesis
are considered lightning and can only be used with appropriate build
-Singer skills are considered orange (but since we don't have an orange as a build they can be used with red or yellow [since they make orange] or alt. brown which is widely considered as dark orange),
Grim Ward
and
Bash
are red but all of them are not that distinguishable from brown (which also needs quite some boost so there's that); however BC/BO should be colorless and can be used freely (but only for Barbs -- so no CtA on other classes)
-
Battle Orders
is most definitely blue and can only be used with blue builds (however this opens it up to be used on ALL blue builds from now on -- mainly so that magic builds can benefit from it)
-
Battle Command
is still colorless (it's closest to brown) and can be freely used with any build HOWEVER if used from CtA then still needs to follow rules for colors and thus be built in an appropriate colored weapon thus reducing it's frequency even further
-Combat Masteries,
Find Item
and
Find Potion
are colorless and can be used with anything
-
Stun
(a Barbarian skill) is now blue along side of
Berserk

-
Frenzy
and
Whirlwind
are still white
-Putting
Double Throw
and
Double Swing
to colorless due to major lack of viable Barbarian builds thus allowing some weird niche off-meta ones (and mainly Throw Barb to have more options)
-
Impale
/
Fend
/
Dodge
/Avoid/
Evade
/
Critical Strike
/
Decoy
skills are colorless and can be used with anything
-
Penetrate
and
Pierce
are now colorless BUT can be only combined with non-elemental damage skills (
Magic Arrow
,
Guided Arrow
,
Strafe
, Multishot)
-
Valkyrie
is special multicolored and can be used only with appropriate builds however you should re-summon her until she gets armor of appropriate color (the one gained thru Peace doesn't count and is considered fully multicolored/doesn't need to be re-summoned)
-
Summon Resist
is fully multicolored and can be used freely
-All synergies can be taken freely BUT NOT USED (didn't state this clearly before)
-
Maul: Skill
and
Feral Rage
are forbidden because they would belong to Red and Green by color of the orb but don't match those colors by theme
-
Lycanthropy
is colorless and can be used with anything
-
Charge
is colorless and can be used with anything
-
Monarch
now belongs to white AND yellow builds and can be used to build any runewords for those builds if needed as an alternative; however if it's colored in a different color (no matter how odd does it look) it's still considered that color as well and can be used with appropriate build
-Shrunken Heads are split like this (only putting down basic variants so it's the same for it's upgraded versions) since they don't change colors with mods nor gems:
Preserved Head
-- yellow and brown,
Zombie Head
-- red,
Unraveller Head
-- white and red,
Gargoyle Head
-- white and blue,
Hierophant Trophy
-- brown

^Other stuff are in the grey zone for example I transferred 1
Horadric Cube
for one character to have it from the start but I also went through entire Halls of the Dead section later, also I'm playing on Online so all of them can level up solo on Players X if I want them to but I didn't use that so far

Please, be free to advise, suggest things I may have forgotten about, change some, add exceptions and help with the colors. For example, is
Sash
considered yellow or brown? Does
Monarch
belongs to white or yellow segment? If you get +all res on said
Monarch
or any other item and it just slightly changes its look, if it's barely visible purple colored is it still considered purple? What about runewords -- are they bound by the bases they are in? Stuff like that.

I can't imagine what it would have been if you were on full length :)

Anyway, good luck with you experiment. Be sure to take a lot of screenshots along the way when you find and replace some gear. And post some of them here on the catwalk.

Planned equipment, what I currently collected and transferred (from my main and my 2nd acc aka "the extra storage"/armory) and how they currently look, have to say again I just started with some characters and with some I didn't even start yet (still unsure if I want to proceed with this exact current composition)... I'm gonna post each one seperately in a single comment so it's less clustered and more/better distinguishable. :)

Hehehehe yeah Florian, I might have gone with the full-ish version... :D

Blue Suit - Cold Sorc (Blizzard,
Frozen Orb
*no tele since
Teleport
is basically a lightning spell)

Planned gear:

Head:
Nightwing's Veil
;
Body:
Dark Adherent
or
Skin of the Vipermagi
;
Weapon:
Death's Fathom
(is this considered blue?) if not
Warpspear
or
Crystal Sword
"Spirit" or Rare staff with +3
Cold Mastery
/21+ Mana;
Shield: None if using two-hand staff, otherwise Rare
Small Shield
with DTM or
Frost Nova
/
Nova
proc (pref. FN);
Gloves:
Laying of Hands
or Rare with
Frost Nova
/
Nova
proc and res/mana/life/str;
Belt:
Credendum
or
Goldwrap
or Rare with
Frost Nova
/
Nova
proc and res/mana/FHR;
Boots:
Rite of Passage
or Rare with 31%+ cRes and other res (max 30%)/FRW/FHR;
Jewelry:
Telling of Beads
or Rare with +Sorc skills with FCR/res/mana (already have one +2 Sorc/10 FCR/17 all res)

Merc: Act 2
Holy Freeze
(don't know about equipment yet) or Act 5 Barb with LL and probably some +cold/fire weapons

Current state, near end of Act 2 - Normal. So far it's going as expected, cold Sorc is just too OP I'm just spamming with the
Ice Bolt
, waiting to reach lvl 24 so I can switch to Blizzard and then
Frozen Orb
will be insta win probably... Ofc Hell will be tough until I get to 75 for Sunder but then it's a walk in the park
At the end of Act 1, she looked like this:

Next one in line is...

Green Suit - [ex Poison Zon] switched to Poison Necro (
Poison Dagger
,
Poison Nova
)

Planned gear:

Head: [
Harlequin Crest
] or
Vampire Gaze
, for leveling gemmed 2os
Bone Helm
with
Emerald
for color and another Perfect gem for needed res (except for circlets and class specific helms headgear also can't be green naturally);
Body:
Leviathan
(should look waaaay cooler) or
Twitchthroe
;
Weapon: [Rare Javelins with +pdmg and +2 ama skills] Rare
Dagger
with +pdmg or +2 Necro for color and other useful stuff (20 IAS, leech, mana, etc.) and
Pus Spitter
on switch when casting;
Shield: [3os Blade Barrier] 3os
Troll Nest
socketed with
Perfect Emerald
to make it green and +2
Perfect Diamond
for res or Rare [Blade Barrier]
Bone Shield
(or any other variant) with +2 Pala (so it's green) and some other useful stuff like life/mana/str/dex/res/fhr;
Gloves: Green gloves do not exist HOWEVER I did find some 2/20 bow (anlucko they are not +javelin) that have 39 mana and pRes and repair mod they should be yellow but since they are
Heavy Gloves
they look olive green-ish so that's the closest otherwise I would just leave it blank;
Belt:
Lenymo
is the only green belt that exists and can exist but I'm still searching for it (did like 200 normal Cow King runs without luck) but again I did find a Rare one with 24 FHR, 8 mana, 11 life, 28 fRes, 11 lRes and they look exactly like gloves mentioned above still don't know if that's admissible;
Boots: Rare 2/3-res boots with 31%+ pRes and mana/life/FRW/FHR or
Treads of Cthon
;
Jewelry:
Highlord's Wrath
or
Mara's Kaleidoscope
or Rare amulet with +2 Necro, 11+ FCR (as only source of FCR) and/or mana/leech/res, Rare ring with +pdmg and all res or FCR, SoJ or 2x SoJs or 2x Rare rings to hit higher FCR breakpoint with decent enough amulet (in case of going more into
Poison Nova
caster);

Merc: Haven't decided since
Conviction
from Infinity doesn't lower Poison res (it does help with hit% tho so I might reconsider this); can't remember if Act 1 Merc can wear a
Crossbow
if yes then maybe bend rules and put something like
Pus Spitter
on her
or alternatively use Act 5 Merc with double Plague? I don't know...

Does charms with +pdmg affect this build at all? I don't know that either, never played poison jav before. :(

Current state, not even started. Will go melee/throw (since I have some poison javs lvl req 0) followed by
Poison Javelin
until I hit 18 and switch to
Plague Javelin
.
Won't start this character until I find
Lenymo
at least because that can be a potential oh-oh. :D

Gear that I currently have:

ie

I thought so too, but then I made a crafted
Safety Gloves
and they were plain grey-ish same as default
Gauntlets
are. I don't know if same goes for other parts of equipment but I'm gonna test that out! :) Yeah, I was very sad when they turned out just normal (the gloves) even tho they are green on the icon/image on this site and on the crafting recipe. :(

Transmogrification in D2R would be fun.

No more threads complaining that dusk shroud enigma makes your necro look like a hobo :lol: You'd be able to get that
Sacred Armor
look with the same stats as your
Dusk Shroud
Enigma.

And @TheDoo would have a blast with experiments like this while still being able to play without a handicap :)

Something you can suggest to them directly when you get into team big boss, yes, yeees, yeeeeeessss!! :evil: :D

I am still at the beginning of this journey but it sounds like a fun way to play with a handicap since it's for a greater cause (eeeehhh maybe), well, I do wish some amazingly beautiful armors and helmets were able to be re-colored. Some shields too, definitely... The details change from all the bases is gorgeous -- it's another thing I really, really love about D2 (they thought of everything back in the days)! :)

Another build I've never played before with is...

Red (jump)Suit (apparatus) - Fire elemental Druid (
Armageddon
,
Fissure
,
Firestorm
)

Planned gear:

Head: Magic Artisan's helm/pelt of the Whale aka 81+ life (alt. of the Elephant => +life/mana per level) or Rare Visionary
Hawk Helm
with 31+ life and useful skills or some other white/grey pelt with +X appropriate fire druid spell(s) socketed with
Perfect Ruby
and runes/gems or +2 Druid circlet with 31+ life and FCR there's clearly a lot of options here;
Body:
Arkaine's Valor
or
Duriel's Shell
or Rare armor with 31+ life and other useful things like res/str/FHR preferably one of heavier armors because of how they look;
Weapon: Rare weapon with +fdmg and/or 31+ life... Is
Athena's Wrath
red (I personally wouldn't count on it)? What about
Hellplague
and
Hexfire
, could they be considered red even tho they don't look very red in inventory? Apart from that
Flamebellow
fits perfectly but that's a two-hander;
Shield: in case of
Flamebellow
- nothing, otherwise
Hsarus' Iron Fist
or Spirit in
Ward
shield or
Medusa's Gaze
or Phoenix in
Ward
shield;
Gloves:
Death's Hand
or Rare with life leech/life for color and res/str/dex/mana/life (
Dracul's Grasp
reserved for The Flash);
Belt:
Death's Guard
or
Hsarus' Iron Stay
or Rare with life and useful things like res/FHR/str;
Boots:
Hsarus' Iron Heel
or Rare with 31%+ fRes and some other stuff like res/FRW/FHR/mana/life;
Jewelry: Rare amulet with +Druid skills/FCR and some useful stuff like res/mana/life or Mara's or
The Rising Sun
, for rings double FCR rings with res/mana/life/str or 2x SoJs or combo

Merc:
Fanaticism
and
Vigor
are both kinda useless auras (since they are red or red-ish) for this build so I will probably just go fully into this red theme and add even more fire with either Act 1 or Act 3 fire Mercs, any suggestions here?

Current state, Act 2 but I adore this build. From videos I saw I knew it was strong but this strong jeeeeeez... Anyway, it was a pleasure going thru or should I say flying thru because it felt like that - gameplay is super easy so far yet quite interesting. I do have a lot of items for him like A LOT some of which I have found in his game (like that sweet 1os pelt with +3
Firestorm
) but I still do lack some of the key ones. We will see how fast he'll progress because from what I've seen so far he is main contestant with the Cold Sorc to ram through the game with absolute ease!

That does look more brown than red but oh well (this game hates me apparently lol):

Sometimes you also need to sleep... Who would've known?! I also nuked my ankle joint so I need to rest a lot (and my mum broke her pelvis fml)
Anyways, lemme continue...

Yellow Suit - Lightning Pala aka Tesladin (
Zeal
,
Holy Shock
/in case of double Dream
Salvation
or Might)

Planned gear:

Head:
Mask
"Dream" or
Blackhorn's Face
or
Andariel's Visage
or
Crown of Thieves
or Rare helm with +Pal and res/FCR (no Griffon's since they are blue-ish :(( );
Body: Goldskin (scratch that,
Goldskin
is not GOLD at all it turns out!!!) or
Iceblink
or
Boneflesh
or
Sparking Mail
--> this part of equipment feels pretty weak, any suggestions? I guess some Rare one is always an option...;
Weapon: Rare weapon with +ldmg or Rare
Scepter
with +
Holy Shock
if not using double Dream, otherwise +other useful aura (Might, Thorn) and/or +
Zeal
and other useful mods like dual leech (<3% I think)/att rating/etc. or
The Redeemer
(is that yellow/gold tho?) or
The Grandfather
?
Soulfeast Tine
? --> again quite bit of confusion but probably I'll go with some Rare;
Shield: If using double hander then none, otherwise
Crown Shield
"Spirit" or
Crown Shield
"Dream" (double Dream dream is aliiiiveeee);
Gloves: Rare gloves with pref. 20 IAS or 10+ str for color (gf/mf also possible) and some other useful bonuses like res/life (max 30 I think)/mana;
Belt: Rare belt with pref. 24% FHR or 16+ str for color (gf/mf also possible) and some other useful bonuses like res/life/mana;
Boots: Rare boots with 31%+ lRes and additional good mods for other res/life/mana/FRW/FHR;
Jewelry: Mara's or Rare with +Pal and res/dual leech or
Angelic Wings
, for rings
Raven Frost
and/or Rare with res/att rat/leech and/or SoJ and/or
Angelic Halo

Merc: If using Might yourself then Act 3 Lightning to be even more thematic, if using
Holy Shock
yourself then Act 2 with Might alt. Act 5 with Last Wish

Current state, Act 2 just started didn't yet get to
Holy Shock
but Tesladin is one of the meta builds so I don't think there will be any problems anyway. Again, only issue I have encountered so far is belt being available from lvl 15 (but it's fine it has 19% cRes and 68 gf so it's definitely yellow) but Might +
Zeal
later + this nice early Rare
Scepter
carried me thru. Gloves are nice too, already have my main gloves I'm gonna use but they are req lvl 30 (unless I find even better dual res or dual leech ones but with 20 IAS)!

However I still need to find some stuff like boots for example since I don't have any at all:

Then we have this beautifully looking Sigon's Complete Steel, with the main actor...

White Suit - [ex Necromancer bone/metal Summoner] Magic Bowazon (
Guided Arrow
)

Planned gear:

Head:
Sigon's Visor
is definitely up there for leveling, [Rare Bone Helm with like dual res/life (max 30)/FHR/str/dex would be nice or even like 3os Bone Helm "Delirium" would be quite good actually since I basically just want my
Raise Skeleton
and my
Iron Golem
to carry me most of the time
]
M'avina's True Sight
;
Body:
Sigon's Shelter
for leveling,
Toothrow
or
Plate Mail
"Chains of Honor" or
M'avina's Embrace
;
Weapon: [Broad Sword "Spirit" or Grim Wand "White" with +
Raise Skeleton
/+
Iron Golem
(full summon) or
Ume's Lament
(full summon leveling up), crazy alt. Colossus Sword "Grief"
]
M'avina's Caster
or
Grand Matron Bow
"Melody" or "Call To Arms";
Shield: If 2-hander then none, [otherwise
Sigon's Guard
or Bone Shield "Rhyme" or Bone Shield "Splendor" or
Boneflame
(if not Sigon's gotta go with Bone Shield it's a Necro thing right?)]
;
Gloves:
Sigon's Gage
(even if not using full Sigon's I would still prefer 3-piece of it because they are decently good) or
Steelrend
or
M'avina's Icy Clutch
;
Belt:
Sigon's Wrap
or Mavina's Tenet or Rare with Def/lvl for color and useful things like res/life/mana/FHR;
Boots:
Sigon's Sabot
or Rare with Def/lvl for color and useful things like res (30% max)/life/mana/FRW/FHR;
Jewelry:
Mara's Kaleidoscope
[or Rare with +Necro or +Summoning and res/life/mana/LL] or
Highlord's Wrath
, for rings
Raven Frost
, SoJ or Rare with res/life/mana/LL;

Merc: [Have no idea since he doesn't need mana regen so Act 2 with Insight is off but maybe still Act 2 with
Holy Freeze
or Act 5 with something like Unbending Will +
Headstriker
(alt. Lawbringer and
Azurewrath
)?

It's surprisingly easy to do and won't take any more time than the time you've already spent loading images here, not to mention the storage space Teeb would save on the forum. It goes like this. Make a folder on your desktop, drag in all the images, and number them in the order you would like tou want to set the time for the images, then drag them down one at a time and use your mouse to pull them wider which increases the time. When all that's done you can save them as a video. If you want to add sound then you import the audio track or tracks down to Track 2, and from there you'll get the picture. With a little practice it can all be done in minutes. Just a suggestion. :D

Ah, was about to say "by the way, have you considered pink/purple" as color as well, or is is too hard to deal with due to too few stuff being of that color (

Oooohhh you bet it's gonna be annoying but I'll try! :D Yup, Sander's, Tal's, Circlets/Coronets and stuff like that can also be purple; I think the main problem could seem to be a weapon (but in fact it's gonna be a belt), since very few of them are purple in color and on image (like
Tal Rasha's Lidless Eye
or are class exclusive like that one aaaand can't remember if there's anything else -- well
Lightsabre
is red-blue) but, funnily enough, they can be at least made (finding a nice
Scepter
with useful skills and sockets and putting
Amethyst
in should do the trick :D). Since I was thinking of using
Vengeance
on him (well because I like that skill and I rated it "multicolored") maybe even better would be using some big sword/
War Club
or something like that socketed with
Amethyst
and
Shael
and some +dmg/+max or something like that, so it can be managed... Unlike black gloves and belt for example which are only
Magnus' Skin
/
Wilhelm's Pride
and Immortals'! All res on a shield makes a shield purple like you said (same goes for circlets) which is also kinda nice (Pala shields excluded tho, they can't be colored) :) Also something I think I saw that can resemble purple is combining blue and red aura (like
Defiance
/
Prayer
and
Fanaticism
idk) and when they overlap they do look like purple IIRC which is also neat... :)

Two potentially the worst/toughest builds to do with this experiment, brown being heavily limited by skills/class combo and this one being quite harsh on equipment (not that great with skills either)... They still bug me a lot and I'm seriously thinking of switching things around, but we'll see... 🤔

Black Suit - Blade Assassin aka Bladesin (
Blade Fury
,
Blade Shield
,
Shadow Warrior
, in case of claws
Claw Mastery
)

Planned gear:

Head:
Natalya's Totem
or
Veil of Steel
or
Stealskull
(only for leveling/melee until
Blade Fury
also as far as I understood
Blade Fury
has fixed rate of fire doesn't get affected by FCR or IAS);
Body:
Natalya's Shadow
(unfortunately it comes very very late at lvl 73) or
Immortal King's Soul Cage
(even later at lvl 76) or
Vidala's Ambush
(decent leveling with other parts) or
Greyform
;
Weapon: Here comes the real trouble --
Natalya's Mark
looks grey on image and is also very high level 79 and/or
Shadow Killer
(also very high level 78) it is brown-ish but ethereal saves it a bit or
Immortal King's Stone Crusher
(I know it's ridiculous but it's there at lvl 76) or more likely Rare elite claws with 101%+ ED/11+ max/9+ min for color and some other useful mods like MAEK/res/PMH/dual leech (don't know how black works with other colors tho so maybe max 5% leech?) and +2 Assassin skills (this should be overwritten as it is green but idk :D) or some other Rare weapon with similar characteristics or
Crushflange
for bosses maybe? -- if you have any suggestion at all please I'm begging you;
Shield: In case of 2-hander/dual claws none, otherwise
Whitstan's Guard
or
Stormshield
or
Tiamat's Rebuke
or
Moser's Blessed Circle
(if desperate for res);
Gloves: As far as I know there are only 2 gloves that exist and not a single base can be colored black which limits this build very much --
Magnus' Skin
or
Immortal King's Forge
;
Belt: As far as I know there are only 2 belts that exist and not a single base can be colored black (same as gloves) --
Wilhelm's Pride
or
Immortal King's Detail
;
Boots: Boots cannot be colored as well but at least there's 2 more options --
Natalya's Soul
or
Immortal King's Pillar
or
Vidala's Fetlock
or
Shadow Dancer
(not very useful here tho);
Jewelry: Mara's or Rare with +Sin or +Traps and res/life/mana/leech, for rings
Raven Frost
and/or Rare with res/life/mana/leech and/or SoJ, alt. 2x SoJs;

Merc: Either something for crowd control like Act 3 Cold or (alt. Act 2
Holy Freeze
) who can slow/freeze them or Act 5 that can tank while you slowly shoot your blades from not-that-afar or maybe even no Merc because I feel like this build really lacks everything and Merc could easily 'steal the show'

Current state is that I just finished Act 1 Normal (and Normal being what it is doesn't reveal much weaknesses however) it felt very janky, I'm not very optimistic or eager to continue and maybe just needs a lot of positioning, predicting and shooting beyond enemies to really make it work -- I was somewhat doing it but blades felt pretty meh even tho they hit hard here, looks cool and unique tho! Full Natalya's Odium set is probably one of the most memorably looking ones, it's effective but is it efficient as well, I'm not really sure about it. All in all, Assassin in very raw state (that sword is definitely going to be MVP for some time :D):

Ma neeeeeeema veeeeeeeze! xd

Someone much smarter than me already said once: "The real value of something doesn't reflect in a number of how much a seller can ask for it, but on how much a buyer is willing to pay."
