I added 'Magic' and made it blue too, so that this is less likely to happen again.

Are you using magic gloves?
he was not. using base White gloves. I can see how the recipe might be a bit confusing for someone who has never crafted before.
Edit: Maybe if we change the text color to blue for the crafted item recipe bases?

I did at first, so I learned from Knapp that it has to be magic... I found a pair of magic Heavy Gloves but I identified them, then crafted, it did not yield Blood Gloves still... :/

And reciprocally crafted item recipe is listed on the normal base item page.

Similarly, recipes using item types (like Recipe: Blood Weapon or Recipe: Safety Weapon) list a "random" (and also normal) item of the required item type, not the item type itself.

I eventually found a Heavy Gloves which should have crafted Blood Gloves, but it crafted some other glove item. maybe also specify if it needs to be identified or left unidentified? I did the precise recipe with magic Heavy Gloves that were identified... it did NOT yield Blood Gloves, but some other random type of glove...
