Can Expansion Characters trade items with NON-Exp Characters?

Hi guys,
Can Expansion Characters trade items with NON-Expansion Characters? There seems to be zero info online about this.
There are no warnings on trade listings either for this.
Anyone know for 100% sure? Thanks for your help.

No they can't. The only way to move an item from non-expansion to expansion is to convert the non-expansion character to expansion (permanently). Expansion characters cannot be converted.

hi, ok so mine is non exp. and an exp character is offering items to trade. so my non exp cant use their items then?

He can't.

As far as I know they can't even be on the same game... (A non expansion game cannot be joined by a expansion character and vice-versa).

Your bio says you're at the end of act5. Act5 is part of the LoD expansion. If you are playing LoD you are expansion.

You're also selling

Spirit Keeper which is an LoD item. You're asking for runes which their existence is LoD only. Are you sure you are playing D2 Classic (non-expansion)?

Edit: You and I have traded before too and I have zero Classic characters. I think it's safe to say that you're playing Expansion.

I'm willing to accept other forms of currency. Like Tokens, Keys,

Perfect Gems, and certain minor runes in lieu of my asking price. I'm also willing to accept rune combinations that add up to my asking price.
