FYI, the -enemy resist is irrelevant.
It only lowers enemy resist for the wielder, I.E your merc, not you.

Abstract paintings have subjective value, and million dollar watches vs thousand dollar ones have no practical advantages usually.

An extra 1% of ed that makes something perfect vs almost perfect doesn't make that item twice or sometimes 4 times as valuable because it's noticeably more powerful.

The way most people's minds work makes these stats, however unuseful, alter the value of an item greatly nevertheless.

When you consider resale value, you have to weigh these facts even IF you or I were exceptions to the general rule.
