Lem runes are the lowest level of runes that are perceived to have legitimate trade value. As such, trading Discords are flooded with screen-long posts of players mindlessly hoping to unload all of their valueless unique and set items for the minimum price of one Lem rune each.
If you're trying to get items that have little trade value, perhaps offer Fal and Ko runes instead, and save your Lem runes for a Treachery runeword to empower your mercenary.
