Can be used to make Runewords:
maybe a godly amulet +2sk/20 fcr/60 poison res / whatever and a godly Caster Belt 10fcr/60 poison res/ 24 fhr/whatever could be bis for the build. but it's discretionary, +3 fire sk /whatever or mara's, and arachnid or Razortail or Credendum all work just fine
Sorry, it wasn't that I counted Shael in the FF build, it was that I accidentally double-counted the ancient Stone in the HW build (when you can obviously only have one). So if you are getting IAS from another slot (gloves, Belt, ammy, etc) instead of Shael, it's -25 fireres for FF and -23 fireres for HW.ganseng wrote: 4 days agowhy do you include Shael in the Flickering Flame build? attack speed is maxed thanks to the horazon's.
I think the 70PR from sandstorm easily clears the PLR on FF, especially since I can get PLR from Cure Helm on merc. ES doesn't feel fun when your health orb only has a tiny green sliver at the bottom.
More damage is more damage. If you are killing 95% without Pierce then you can make a LOT of changes for more safety, more MF, etc.
I will concede that Hellwarden's is ugly AF though
I know sheet damage isn't always accurate, but Dragon increases my sheet damage more than Enigma or a +20% fire Ormus.
I'm guessing it's because Holy Fire is going through the same series of multipliers (from Enchant+ Fire Mastery) that Exploding Arrow does.

coh+mara's should solve the poison issue
and i don't even have the uber jewel yet, ff is second-hand with -13% res, and sundy is bad at -6%

It's worth mentioning that all of these are great options and it's really just season-to-taste.
I personally don't really like running CoH because it feels like I'm wasting 195 fire/cold/light res when I really just need the poison res. Instead of getting +2 allskills and a bunch of resists I don't need, I could get +1 allskills and a ton of MF from Skullder's. CoH just doesn't feel nice on this build (and I REALLY don't like running Enigma on sorc).
do you run max energy build?

80% of dmg goes to Energy Shield (will rise to 85-90, not sure where to stop), and health/mana currently (lvl 80) at 1k/2k
so I wouldn't say res are completely irrelevant because a portion of dmg still goes to health and more importantly, if shield ever gets breached, I'd rather not take 1.5x fire or lightning dmg..

My ES is currently 38/40 (just recently got my hands on a +3 ES staff to make a +9 ES Memory, which helps a lot). I'm normally around 500hp/2000mp after BO, but I have a lot more points in str/dex than most because I like to be able to equip a wide variety of situational gear and don't want to burn a bunch of respec tokens.
I used to be somewhat concerned with resists, but then I did the math and even with my tiny HP, if I'm taking full -100% resist (so 250 base damage) that's ~2700 damage to MP (with 20 hard points in TK, even more if you don't). So resists just don't matter because my MP is more limiting than my HP.

and the Bolts seem to drop not as often as the Arrows.. or am i crazy?
gave the merc Faith to help with my attack rating. and now it's hard to compete with her for non-immune kills. wish my fire zon was as powerful as this klaudia
and i'm really reluctant to dump the remaining 15-20 skillpoints into the Energy Shield.. is there really no creative alternative?
