And also Corpse Explosion is half damage fire and half damage physical.
But notice that you can equip Bone Break just while your assembling your army and then stash it, and the minions will "snapshot" the sunder effect for them
(in the case of Iron Golem, you have to equip Bone Break before you exit the game, so you will have Bone Break equipped when he was re-spawned on the next game )

Can be used to make Runewords:
Hmmm.. Fredkid, do they also suffer the negative effects of the Bone Break charm?
Nope, amp\decrep works at 1\5 efficiency against immune monsters but they do work at 100% against sundered ones, so Bone Break absolutely worths it.fredkid wrote: 3 months ago Bone Break is not much needed if you use Amplify Damage as your main curse ( Amplify Damage and Decrepify work at full rate against immune monsters - unlike Conviction that is cut to 1/5...) .

As far as I know the negative effects of any Sunder only affects you.BoringTitle wrote: 3 months ago Hmmm.. Fredkid, do they also suffer the negative effects of the Bone Break charm?

I thought Amplify Damage and Decrepify work at full rate against sundered or immunes
So it is just against sundered in reality
Anyway, my Necro do not use Bone Break and feel no problem with Physical immunes... with only my Minions, Amplify Damage and Corpse Explosion

Yeah, sure. It is so, because I just left it without fully revising, my bad. For every socket, I put Ist, don't need resistances that much, actually. But you can change it how you want.uuee wrote: 3 months ago
Um should be in the shield instead of Shako, since it gives 22@ there:). Also, Bone Break worths a slot for sure.
Mine is a very different "CE nec":P

* I trade both ladder and non-ladder, please check before asking.
* All my trades are for runes, keys (especially KoT and KoH) and essences!
And I'm not sure if we actually need Bone Break because, you know, Necromancer is the king of the curses, and you have both Amplify Damage and Decrepify at service to break any immunity.

Kinda true. But -5 = a crapton more dmg than 80+.basicnecromancy wrote: 3 months ago And I'm not sure if we actually need Bone Break because, you know, Necromancer is the king of the curses, and you have both Amplify Damage and Decrepify at service to break any immunity.
Boost Golem Mastery first, Summon Resist second (tho you may not need to max it out) and if you have nothing else to spend skill points on then and only then consider boosting Iron Golem itself. This is because the Iron Golem skill only scales/increases its defence and integral Thorns attacker takes damage effect.Eisenbauch wrote: 3 months ago Hey again
i want to try out Summon necro for the first time and have some questions
how do you make a Iron Golem tanky enough to not be afraid that hes dying i see alot of necros running Insight Iron Golem but dont i have to be afraid of him dying to lets say uber diablo ?
Golem Mastery will increase IG's HP and mobility and Summon Resist will stack with whatever item you use to make the golem out of, so for example if you make the IG out of anything that has all res on it it will stack with Summon Resist. This has the potential to make the IG immune to multiple elemental damage types. It has intrinsic 100% poison immunity and 50% lightning resistance before you factor in the item and Summon Resist. With a high enough Summon Resist and +skills you can get to 70 res all if not more, which means he can be easily immune to lightning and if you use an item like, Obedience for example you may even get him immune to fire and cold too. I haven't tried this vs Uber Diablo but at least on paper it should be fairly robust if built this way.
Lot of people are not impressed with Necromage's damage capacity. Part of this is mechanics wise the Necromage's damage isn't listed in-game and it's not clear how effective they are other than by direct gameplay observation and intuiting their effectiveness. For instance *unlike Skeleton warriors* the Necromages benefit from having the passive skill Skeleton Mastery maxed out *first*. It's the exact opposite when it comes to the normal Summoner Necro who maxes Raise Skeleton first, which tends to give a better first impression of the Skeleton Warriors.i also dont see any summon necros raising mages why ?
Another one of the problems with them is that they use elemental damage, while your regular Skeleton warriors use physical melee damage. This means you cannot use the same support curse. Skeleton warriors benefit immensely from having Amplify Damage cast on monsters, and it's a level 1 curse just like Raise Skeleton is a level 1 summoning spell. So the regular or conventional Summoner necro build is easier to build and play with right from level 1. By contrast you don't get Necromages until level 12, and the support curse for them is the level 30 Lower Resist, which requires more prerequisite skills and leveling that you won't get until late Normal. This makes the leveling experience less smooth.
Now all that being said I made a Lord of Mages summoner necro for this Ladder season and I play exclusively on Hardcore as well, he's level 75 and finished Nightmare a week ago but hasn't started Hell yet. The build is fine for me, Necromages are more than viable imo. If you have questions go ahead and ask.
Amplify Damage works at 100% efficiency when used with Bone Break unlike any of the elemental sunders and Conviction or Lower Resist. So while Amp Damage will break most (*EDIT tho not all) physical immunes without Bone Break you do so with the 1/5th efficiency penalty if you don't have it. This is why for the conventional summoner Necro or Fishymancer build Bone Break is recommended.basicnecromancy wrote: 3 months ago And I'm not sure if we actually need Bone Break because, you know, Necromancer is the king of the curses, and you have both Amplify Damage and Decrepify at service to break any immunity.
I'm kinda convinced to use Bone Break but guys, I don't want to remove any one of my skillers and don't like any swap. I mostly play P1, so it's ok for me without it.

OP
thank you all for the tipps its really crazy how many little things there are to know about this class its definitely one of my favourite classes now that ive reached hell ^^
This is quite literally the reason I e returned to d2 time and time again, for the most part what you said applies to all aspects of this game. When stacked against its clones like champions of norath, sacred and the like d2 just has more depth even though the gameplay is similar to a fault. There is always some little thing that can be done differently and though by this point the game has been largely researched, there's always some little aspect or another that makes me go:Eisenbauch wrote: 3 months ago thank you all for the tipps its really crazy how many little things there are to know about this class its definitely one of my favourite classes now that ive reached hell ^^
"Why didn't they try this?"
It's probably just that there is much variability in the skill trees as there is. Maybe it's just the atmosphere.
