Description

I notice that many times rare helmets with +2 to all skills have green color applied. Is this like a baked in 'rule'? Or coincidence lol. I never knew that color was associated to attributes on rares (well I still don't know 100% why I ask).

Yup. Item color is directly related to the affixes on the item with the same affix generally providing the same color and certain affixes (or their color) taking priority over others.

E.g. life ('of the whale') tends to give you red.

Not sure if there's a reliable source anywhere for all color options but the maxroll planner seems to have it built in to at least some degree, showing you the resulting color. However accurate it may be... :)

Interesting yeah I definitely understood it from the perspective of magic quality items...less attributes to correlate with color thus easier to understand with my pea-size brain. I'll take a look at that maxroll planner that sounds neat!
