Patch 1.42 - Ladder Season 4 mini-patch

This is a minor upgrade that prepares the site for Ladder season 4 and fixes a few bugs. If you're looking for other development logs (before 1.42) click here. Okay here we go!

• All active Ladder trades that were listed during Ladder Season 3 (and not marked sold, and not marked WTB) will be converted to Non-Ladder listings on the 4th May when the new season begins. This is to account for what happens in-game where all Ladder S3 chars become Non-Ladder.
• Inside each trade listing that has been converted to Non-Ladder, there will be an indication banner showing that this the listing was converted to Non-Ladder at the start of S4. This banner will not show if you re-mark the trade as Ladder for whatever reason.
• All items listed as Ladder in the marketplace from 4th May onwards on are considered to be fresh items on the new Ladder (ie characters playing Ladder S4).
• Don't forget to update your profile settings to Ladder or Non-Ladder, so that any newly created trades you make default to the correct filters.

• Added ladder season 4 filter + indicator to historical price check UI
• Re-enabled countdown to ladder season 4 on home page
• Fixed bug with freeze trades feature that was causing frozen trades to expire
• Reduced graph durations to 18 months for items and general trade volume graphs
• Added a Non-Ladder data series to the large graph on the trade stats page.
• On this graph the default view is now Ladder vs Non-Ladder trade volume, platforms and HC can be revealed by clicking legend.
• Added a simple captcha to the contact admin form which has gotten way more spammy for me recently (GPT?)
• On database entry pages, and in footers of trade listings, the list of recent prices has been shifted above the volume graph in the 'prices and demand' block.
• Tore down and reinstalled a new version of the @mention tag, pray it works better than the last one for you guys.
• You should be able to mention groups like Moderators too. Nope, working on dev and broken in prod
• Made WTB tags in stash tabs green to match rest of UI, I missed this last round.
• Fixed misaligned nav gem under database link under 1356px breakpoint.
• Fixed duplicate pagination elements appearing when database entry pages get a 2nd page of comments.
• Fixed various icon sizing bugs on mobile on the dclone tracker page.
• Added a Dclone block to the home page, can't believe I'd missed this lol.

Patch 1.43 - Ladder Season 5 mini-patch

This is a minor upgrade that prepares the site for Ladder season 5 and fixes mostly item bugs. If you're looking for other development logs (before 1.43) click here. Okay here we go!

• All active Ladder trades that were listed during Ladder Season 4 (and not marked sold, and not marked WTB) will be converted to Non-Ladder listings on the 28th September when the new season begins. This is to account for what happens in-game where all Ladder S4 chars become Non-Ladder.
• Inside each trade listing that will been converted to Non-Ladder, there will be an indication banner showing that this the listing was converted to Non-Ladder at the start of S5. This banner will not show if you re-mark the trade as Ladder for whatever reason.
• All items listed as Ladder in the marketplace from 28th September (today) onwards on are considered to be fresh items on the new Ladder (ie characters playing Ladder S5).
• Don't forget to update your profile settings to Ladder or Non-Ladder, so that any newly created trades you make default to the correct filters.

• After updating a dclone status, you will be redirected to the status page pre-filtered as per your report's criteria. It will only preserve the ladder/non-ladder and hardcore/softcore selections you made, and is agnostic to region/anything else. Hopefully this reduces re-clicking of filters for regular reporters and makes sense in practise.
• Added chart lines and labels for season 5 start

• Removed old season 4 countdown block from index page
• Missing item group filter for Spears on the Runewords page has been added
• Changed wording on mark as sold form when the listing is WTB so that instructions are clearer for those entering items they paid for the listing.

  Matriarchal Bow.
• Fixed incorrect required strength value for
  Crown.
• Fixed Hustle not showing when filtering for Aura When Equipped.

  Blade Mastery not working as an inline autolink - it will be detected and link correctly now. Sword Mastery will also no longer autolink when typed.
• Fixed stats not showing on
  Blade Mastery tooltips and database entry page. Stats now show and can be changed 1-60 like the other skills.

Patch 1.44 - Ladder Season 6 mini-patch

This is a minor update that prepares the site for Ladder season 6, handling NL > L trade migration, adding chart lines, season filters to price check etc. If you're looking for other development logs (before 1.44) click here. Okay here we go!

• All active Ladder trades that were listed during Ladder Season 5 (and not marked sold, and not marked WTB) will be converted to Non-Ladder listings tonight on the 22nd February when the new season begins. This is to account for what happens in-game where all Ladder S5 chars become Non-Ladder.
• Inside each trade listing that will been converted to Non-Ladder, there will be an indication banner showing that this the listing was converted to Non-Ladder at the start of S6. This banner will not show if you re-mark the trade as Ladder for whatever reason.
• All items listed as Ladder in the marketplace from 22nd February (today) onwards on are considered to be fresh items on the new Ladder (ie characters playing Ladder S6).

Patch 1.45 - Purchase History & Ladder Season 7 Prep

This update introduces the purchase history feature, and prepares the site for Ladder season 7; handling NL > L trade migration, adding chart lines, season filters to price check, etc. I have also made a small number of fixes. Okay here we go!

• You can now look back at all of the purchases you’ve made on diablo2.io - that is - all of the completed trades in which you were listed as the buyer (and of which a 'sold for' item was designated by the seller).
• You can access your buy/purchase history from your profile/stash page. There is a new button named 'Buy History' next to 'Sell History' (which used to be called 'Trader History').

• Fixed @username mentions not working (again). You should be able to type @ now and then select the user you wish to mention from the dropdown. There are lots of users so be patient while this dropdown populates.
• Changed name of Skeletal Mage to
  Raise Skeletal Mage to match in-game naming.
• Added missing
  Flayer Dungeon Level 1 etc. appearance rows for the
  Bone Fetish monster.
• Fixed sorting issue in database category views when trying to sort by Treasure Class.
• Fixed non-exact strings for
  Ith rune armor/shield mods to match other modifier/property naming in the DB.
• Fixed the ‘
  Perfect Gems’ Misc filter in the Browse Trades view - it now shows all pgem listings available, not just Rubies (lol).
• Updated the durability value of
  Stormguild from 34 to a range of 34-39.
• Fixed missing lightning resist value for
  Zombie monster type (specifically the Hungry Dead variant in Hell).
• Disabled hover tooltips on usernames, as the users table was getting too large to cope with queries like this, leading to blank/unresponsive hover tooltips over usernames.

• All active Ladder trades that were listed during Ladder Season 6 (and not marked sold, and not marked WTB) will be converted to Non-Ladder listings on the 24th May 2024 when the new season begins. This is to account for what happens in-game where all Ladder S6 chars become Non-Ladder.

Patch 1.46 - Ladder Season 8 Prep

This update prepares the site for Ladder season 8; handling NL > L trade migration, adding chart lines, season filters to price check, etc. I have also made a small number of bug fixes and improvements. Okay here we go!

• All active Ladder trades that were listed during Ladder Season 7 (and not marked sold, and not marked WTB) will be converted to Non-Ladder listings on the 24th August 2024 when the new season begins. This is to account for what happens in-game where all Ladder S7 chars become Non-Ladder.
• Inside each trade listing that will been converted to Non-Ladder, there will be an indication banner showing that this the listing was converted to Non-Ladder. This banner will not show if you re-mark the trade as Ladder for whatever reason.
• All items listed as Ladder in the marketplace from 24th August 2024 onwards on are considered to be fresh items on the new Ladder (ie characters playing Ladder S8).
• Don't forget to update your profile settings to Ladder or Non-Ladder, so that any newly created trades you make default to the correct filters.

• I've made an adjustment to the discontinued Freeze Trades feature - it is available once again, we'll find out in 3 days whether it works now or not (I have a test frozen trade in my stash). If you have a large number of trades I would not recommend risking trying a freeze while this is still being tested. Still not working.
• Fixed missing durability value for
  Spirit Ward.
• Fixed a typo in
  Twitchthroe's magical properties.
• Fixed missing 'Ingredient in' property for
  Light Belt (used in
  Recipe: Caster Belt).
• Fixed missing level requirement for the
  Shako base item.
• Fixed a bug where the autolink and tooltip for
  Diablo Clone was not being rendered when appearing in any post/description/comment text. Changed name of Über Diablo to
  Diablo Clone. Changed name of Uber Diablo to
  Pandemonium Diablo.
• Fixed bug where usernames were still getting hover tooltips in price history pages for items.
• Added a Season 8 filter to price history pages for items so that in the future users can filter by Season 8 timeframe-only price data.
• Added chart lines/markers for Season 8. Fixed bug where Season 6 line markers had disappeared, they're back again now.
• All charts (except the big one on trade_stats.php) now show data from the last three seasons as opposed to all-time data. This was trimmed to save on server resources + ensure no blank series as was the case recently (where the chart was still showing markers back to 2021 but no data showed).
• Desktop anchor advertisement is now click-through, has additional native styling, and other bottom banners removed to reduce clutter.
• GDPR users will now see a link to update cookie preferences in the footer on any page - this was necessary for the site to remain compliant with EU regulations.

Patch 1.47 - Ladder Season 9 Prep

This update prepares the site for Ladder season 9; handling NL > L trade migration, adding chart lines, season filters to price check, etc. I have also made a small number of bug fixes and improvements this sprint. Okay here we go!

• All active Ladder trades that were listed during Ladder Season 8 (and not marked sold, and not marked WTB) will be converted to Non-Ladder listings on the 7th December 2024 at 0000 UTC time when the new season begins. This is to account for what happens in-game where all Ladder S8 chars become Non-Ladder.
• Inside each trade listing that will been converted to Non-Ladder, there will be an indication banner showing that this the listing was converted to Non-Ladder. This banner will not show if you re-mark the trade as Ladder for whatever reason.
• All items listed as Ladder in the marketplace from 7th December 2024 at 0000 UTC time onwards on are considered to be fresh items on the new Ladder (ie characters playing Ladder S9).
• Don't forget to update your profile settings to Ladder or Non-Ladder, so that any newly created trades you make default to the correct filters.

• When marking a trade as sold, if you leave the 'Sold to' username field empty, you will see a dialog window asking you to confirm your choice before the trade is marked as sold, with a warning that if you continue without specifying a username, you will not be able to exchange trust.
• When checking historical prices for a magic or rare item (or any item that does not correlate to a DB entry/a keyword search for prices), you can now see the full title of the original listing before the description. This should help gathering more context about the original listings when appraising magic and rare items (or simple keyword price searches).
• Fixed incorrect +1 Per Character Level assignment on
  Witchwild String
• Fixed incorrect base defense value for the
  Crown base item
• Fixed issue on trade creation and price check search pages where inputting the affix 'Shimmering' (or any word containing 'ring') would accidentally prompt a dialog about searching for Rings. It now only looks for 'ring' as a standalone word and is case insensitive.
• Fixed an issue where searching for Normal Base Item type items in the /base database category would also surface Normal attack speed values in the filtered results. It now filters for normal base items alone and ignores the attack speed strings.
• Fixed issue where 'Ladder only' was appearing in tooltips for some Quests shown in the random entries sidebar list.
• Fixed issue where prerequisite links to
  Multiple Shot were not working when visited from
  Immolation Arrow and
  Exploding Arrow pages. In fact, this was a bug with every 3rd prerequisite in the list, so other DB entities with at least 3 prereqs should have been fixed by this also.
• Fixed issue where the backslash character (relic of backend validation) was being displayed on frontend title of price history for magical/rare items having an apostrophe. You'll just see the apostrophe like normal now.
• Fixed issue where keywords for non-DB correlating historical price check pages were not appearing in the page's HTML title.
• Christmas decorations are up!
