An item's req lvl changed while it was in stash

Has anyone had that happen to them at any point? It was a pair of

Caster Gloves that I made in late November or early December last year and couldn't use - their req lvl was 94.

I'm now checking them and the req level on them is 57.

Was there some ninja patch? Was I imagining it having a red background? (Spoiler alert, I wasn't.)

Is it not enough to use these beauties 37 levels earlier? Do you have to know why? Okay, stay a while and listen.

I never noticed these worked like that but you are right. And again, maxroll agrees. Classes with their own corresponding skills on an item can use the item earlier.

The picture below is a reproduction in maxroll's d2planner to see the lvl req of such an item. Queegon didn't adjust the name to correspond with the ingame name of his gloves.
