Throwing axes, such as the Flying Axe or Winged Axe, are compatible with this recipe. Because a Blood Weapon sports +35-60% Enhanced Damage above and beyond its rare counterparts, this can result in some of the highest +X% Enhanced Damage values available on a throwing weapon. Because throwing weapons are incompatible with runewords, this recipe is one of the few ways to target-farm a robust throwing weapon.
