What the lowest rune that still makes you happy when you find it?

I'm not talking about runes for crafting materials, but 'valuable' runes for trading. Mine is Um. But then again that's the highest rune I've ever found except for one Jah and one Ohm, haahaa

I think a good measuring stick for me is whether I will go after that rune or if I'll watch it with hesitation or indifference when it drops in a full game. Ist is probably the lowest rune that I will chase after against 7 other party members even if I'm too far away to get it.

I once found an Ist lying on the ground in Chaos Sanctuary as I joined a TZ Chaos run after it began and entered a portal that was well behind where the rest of the party was. That was a nice no-effort freebie.

I hoard runes so even an El Rune is great for me. Combining them, not so much fun.

Haahaa, I like that. I think the lowest I'll chase after is a Pul. I know this because I just did it in P8 cows, and no I didn't get it. But I did get the Ohm two runs later!

I am happy to pick up even an El. There's a trader here that will buy 10 El for a Pul.

Ral, Tir, Tal, Sol are valuable in batches for people to reroll their Insights, so it's worth collecting Eld, Nef, Eth and Ith to cube up.

10 Hel is easy to trade for an Ist.

Ironically, I find Io, Lum, Ko and Fal to be the hardest to trade for something useful.

People buy them in batches to use for... I actually have no idea! I'm going to ask the guy.

Ral, Sol, Hel, then Lem+ (or Fal at the moment, but just because I need to reroll my Chaos, and the issue is more with the Ohm ^^)

In NL, i'll say
- anything below Um is a no go,
- and Vex+ is still a happy drop.

In Ladder (except for the first days / weeks), :
- anything up to Dol is like a Gold drop ... may pick up or not
- from Hel to Pul, it's a small but noticeable drop
- starting with Um are nice drops, but only Vex+ makes me happy

so Vex :p

To use their horded Zod and make batches of Breath of the Dying

El, I use them to repair broken shrunken heads, hoping once to get a perfect base with +3 to Raise Skeleton and +3 to Skeleton Mastery.

Timing of ladder, game mode and my starting ladder character makes a huge difference in what pumps me up.

I was euphoric dropping a couple Ko and Lem early on in my recent hardcore adventure, but, after getting to hell trav and doing probably a 1000 painful, Howl dependent, 2 to 2.5 minute runs without a high rune (like 4 ists though), I was kinda irritated when Vex dropped as my first and still only hr of this season as an Ohm or higher would have allowed me to safely trade for Lo (Grief) in the dead hardcore market in which I have to get ripped off for anyone to trade anything with me lol.

So, unless I’m down to get ripped off, Lo or higher for me

Oh wow, is HC market that dead? I play on xbox so market is ALWAYS dead lol

I play on Xbox too. It’s pretty bad… in game Xbox hardcore is terrible trading. I’ve made one successful trade in game after about 20 attempts and then quit trying. It was 2 pierces of sigons for the gloves. I ended up trading an ethereal Partizan for a blood letter also, honestly a game changer for me at that time. To further make hardcore trades a challenge, some lvl 80 dbag kept joining my trade games and going hostile on my level 40-60 character so I couldn’t even mf while sitting in trade name games.

In game Xbox softcore trade wasn’t so bad, at least the first couple weeks of this ladder. I’d regularly mf in games and make multiple trades per hour and even scored some great deals you wouldn’t find even in the most lopsided exchanges on traderie. Even felt kinda bad on a couple..

But besides early ladder, I do most of my trading through traderie on pc. I’m able to transfer my xbox gear onto a joint pc/xbox account. I’ve made many trades but it is hard to get any attention unless you make sure you’re offering the best deal. Even then, it may be 12 hours before anyone bites, but if you’re not immediately available, they most often slip the hook and you never hear from them again. Adds to the challenge I guess.

Ral for me. You need them if you are into amulet crafting or selling them for Ist.

I like Lum. Because he is so cute! I would walk them on a leash if I could.
