Description

I'm not rich, by any means. The gear that I have I've gotten through trades from finding desireable things. But I need help getting resistances up and a few more FCR percentages. My current gear is:

Beast
Enigma
Shako

Spirits shield
Tal
's
Belt

Marrowwalk

Trang Oul's gloves

With this setup, my resistances are:

CR 25%
FR -23%
LR -16%
PR -16%

I have a crafted ammy and 2 rare rings that bring my resistances up to:

CR 34%
FR 4%
LR 34%
PR 45%

My FCR is currently 63%, looking to hit the 75% breakpoint (Spirit spawned with 33%)

I don't have Mara's or SOJ, but need suggestions on what else would help get my numbers up! TIA

Can be used to make Runewords:

for a summon necro u dont need 75 fcr, 48 is fine. ditch the Spirit and use
Homunculus
.
u have the strength to wear the IK
Belt
too...

and low torches/anny are free

This. Remember that FCR is only helping you with
Teleport
(I assume anyways, unless you're doing a hybrid build) and you don't need a fast
Teleport
as much as other characters because your summons will take some of the hits when you
Teleport
, thus making it less likely you get stunlocked. I would honestly rather have Ancient's Pledge than Spirit if my resistances looked like that, but a good head is the best option

You could keep Spirit on your offhand with a high FCR
Wand
for when you're teleporting through areas, but I'd consider respecing that str into vit

I assume the IK
Belt
is for damage reduction?

I haven't found homonculus either, I'll look in the trades to see if I can pick one up.

This character does have torch and anny as well, low end like you've mentioned (free!).

Thanks for the insights!

Would tend also to go for Homunc with PDiamond socketed (if rich,
Um
'ed, cheap) +
Arachnid Mesh
(about 1
Ist
).
Use your charms to reach the fhr/frw/res you miss then.
Btw, what have you socketed in
Shako
? Either ptopaz for mf or
Um
for more res seem reasonable choices.

Forgot to mention, I don't have Arachnid's yet either.

I have nothing socketed in
Shako
yet, need to put a hole in it first!

pro tip: get an act1 merc with a Faith bow. all minions will have a lvl12-15 fana aura and rip through mobs.
get a maxed
Arm of King Leoric
as a weapon. no need for Beast here.

and get a aranid's mesh as
Belt
. the more points you have in skeletons/skelly mastery/
Summon Resist
the more they rip.
get a +3
Boneflame
as offhand and socket a perf
Diamond
in it for res.
personally, I use a bul kathos ring and a
Nature's Peace
because I want things to stay dead (helpful for stuff like nihla). get a +1 ring, it doesn't matter if it's bul kathos or a soj.
the conclusion is that you should max your skills as far as possible because your minions kill stuff and you stand next to it watching it happen.
my res in hell is between 0 and 20% on all types and it works fine.

you will also have a lot of spare points you can put where you want. I have 1 point in
Revive
and have 26 extra minions. it is quite beastly. pun intended :D
I am thinking about putting points into
Revive
to make these minions stronger as well. haven't decided yet.

Not sure for Faith, as you already have Beast which is expensive and a very good fanat provider and allows a2 merc to provide Might aura on top for your summons.

Can be an option when you're rich, but would not do that by instinct.

Boneflame
is indeed an option too along with Homunc.

the only thing that is a little iffy is mana. I need a pot in between as mana reg is slow.
apart from that it's fine.

but, seeing that you already have Beast, it is an option of course.

I have to clean out some mules to start a ladder character next week. If you need a 35% Spirit/homonculs and arachnid i have more then i should on mules.

I appreciate the offer. I already have a
Homunculus
though and I think I'll stick with that for now!

Will be fun with

A bit sad, Beast is usually considered BiS for summon necro, there must be other options. :)
