Hello,
i never had a Destruction but i am curious about it. Apart from the cost, which at this opint is not n issue, it seems fun to mess around with that, with those chaotic procs it does. I have a nice perfect superior Colossus Sword that would make a sweet base for it. I will mainly use it as a Frenzy/ww barb offhand.
Anyone tried it and wants to share some advice on how it actually is to play with it?
Thanks for your feedbacks

Can be used to make Runewords:

I'd wager it could actually be kinda cute on a Fury druid. Combined with a Faith merc and/or soon Hustle, you can push the attack speed and by extension proc rates pretty hard all while maxing out the synergies for both druid procs. Could add up to at least not be terrible.
On a barb though..you won't have any synergies for anything so the procs are inherently fairly useless and mainly ultimately cosmetic as a cool factor. And beyond that, you'll only get them on Frenzy as WW doesn't proc any on striking and the like.
In terms of performance, you'd probably get far more out of a Grief for a fraction of the cost.
In terms of style..could still be fun. And it does have 350 ED (albeit not indestructible so no Eth) and crushing and such so it certainly isn't bad so to speak..you can def still kill stuff with it.

That has to be the worst designed runeword in the entire game. Somebody was high when they made this. It's a mid-level runeword at best priced higher than an Infinity. None of those procs will do squat for damage.
^ this
there are much better and even less expensive

goodluck, and may the RNG god be with you.
It's even weirder that such an RW has been introduced in 1.10, together with synergies. It could have served its purpose when there were no synergies in the game, but with them (or rather without) the procs are useless.
Would you like Destruction to be indestructible?
OP
it s not about dmg or performance, i m just curious, never seen one
true that for ww barb is totally useless since no procs, seems hard t maximize all the synergies with a Fury druid, too many points needed
it really is for cosmetics, dmg is not that bad after all, enhanced damage is nice, too bad for no indestructibility
to me it seems a decent dmg weapon with lot of funny useless procs, just for the fun of seeing some mayhem while playing

this pair Destruction + Phoenix (on Phase Blade) and + Dragon on armor , for Frenzy barb gives more interesting cast on striking and struck
merc gets Infinity Dragon Dream
this is more a fan build than a useful one
when there is absolutely nowhere to put the runes
build for epileptics a good end to the game and life

You could also add in Carrion Wind for some additional chance to cast effects The Twister proc can Stun enemies, which can be useful in theory anyway.

My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.

And Atma's Scarab
for Chance To Cast Level 2 Amplify Damage On Striking
which will also increase the damage from: Twister, Volcano, Molten Boulder - because they have a physical component of damage

I should do the math for attack speed because i d rather craft Phoenix in a colossus something or some other base for better looks and maybe a bit if phys dmg too
then you need to put 15 ias jew in Arreat's Face (15), change gloves to Laying of Hands (20), get Highlord's Wrath 20 , in the base Colossus Sword you get 55 IAS,Steccothal wrote: 1 year agoI wouldn t go for Atma frankly, i d stick to highlords.Bass wrote: 1 year ago well, let's summarize what we got for the barbarian: Helmet - Arreat's Face , Armor- Dragon , Sword 1 - Destruction, Sword 2 - Phoenix, Belt - Verdungo's Hearty Cord or String of Ears, Boots - Infernostride , Gloves - Hellmouth , Rings - Carrion Wind and Raven Frost, Amulet - Atma's Scarab. or add +10 from Nosferatu's Coil get 65 IAS its 20 FPA if you make on Colossus Blade - its better
its - 52ias 22FPA breakpoint https://warren1001.github.io/IAS_Calculator/
need 4 os non Eth Colossus Blade
and 5 os non Eth Colossus Blade
to put it mildly, it will turn out to be a very non-standard barbarian

I think i d go something like this ideally
Arreat's Face with 15 ias jewel
Phoenix in Colossus Sword/ Phase Blade
Destruction in Colossus Sword
Dragon in Wire Fleece (i like the look)
Nosferatu's Coil
Hellmouth
Infernostride
Highlord's Wrath
Raven Frost
Carrion Wind
to reach max attack speed with 45% ias from this setup and dual Colossus Sword at level 31 Frenzy or Phase Blade + Colossus Sword at lvl 6 Frenzy, according to warren calculator, i would need a nice Fanaticism aura from act 1 merc with Faith (maybe i could give him a Dream Helm over iased andy)
so not sure what woud be best, without too many in depth calcs as this is clearly just a showmanship equipment, lower attack speed with Infinity or max attack speed with Fanaticism (and cool dual Colossus Sword instead of ugly blue stick)
Actually had me curious..it is quite silly, just how many procs you can throw into a single build:
Using an assa example there with >7 attacks per second so the amount of stuff going off at any given moment should be delightfully insane. And yet, the damage from all of it is just..negligible.
Could still be fun though. ^^

1. and we say from the very beginning that this is more fun than destructive, the main damage of course will come from Phys Frenzy, and it in combination with Infinity will be impressive
2. I wouldn't be too happy about the aura of Fanaticism 15 lvl have a range of 17.3 for barbarian Frenzy it's very not enough, you will spend little time under it, and when the archer mercenary reaches you with her or teleports to you, by that time you will have already gained the highest speed yourself thanks to Frenzy, so you need to take the initial ias to "get hot"
all the stories about the mercenary from the first act are people who did not use it themselves, I once collected Faith and got a level 15 aura, I played for 10 minutes, it was enough for me to understand that it was worse than an Arab with a stick and Pride.
Fanaticism is good for everyone, bad is its small area of action. People here are divided into 2 categories:
а) who does not pay attention to it
and
b) who is annoyed by it, and he takes an Arab with Pride or Infinity (if we are talking about this build)
I belong to the second
also in this build Infinity is like a very mandatory thing and not Faith, forget fanatism merc act 1 - its no good

OP
Well, first of all i don t have Infinity but i actually use act 1 merc with Faith in couple with my former tesladin to reach max attack speed with Last Wish and i always found it useful, true is that since i switched to double aura and left Enigma and Last Wish for Dragon and hoj i don t swing my weapon that much anymore so without Teleport i can t swear on how many times i loose the aura for being far from the rogue but i am sure happy with that in a real battle situations, i usually managed to keep her alive in Tristram and always benefit from the aura. It is true tho that a frenzied barb has a mobility which could make the merc just being too far quite often, almost always i d say, but i fail to see how lvl 12 Conviction from Infinity could not have the same issue.Bass wrote: 1 year ago 1. and we say from the very beginning that this is more fun than destructive, the main damage of course will come from Phys Frenzy, and it in combination with Infinity will be impressive

Anyway if no Fanaticism the choice will be forced to a Phase Blade to be able to reach a decent attack speed, not max but should be close, 11 fpa instead of 10
