LF strong Maul Barbarian builds? (SSF!)

I'm lovin the look of a huge barbarian with a huge hammer/

Maul. but i couldn't find a lot of builds for it?

the zerker route is the obvious one, using zerk +

Howl+

Battle Orders as synergies. so that's 60, and then mastery 80, and then

Find Item?

what else is there, no dual wielding. no shield?

not looking to "farm" build, just someone who can do hell, P8(ssf here), to enjoy the game.

oh yeah, and if you got budget suggestions even better

immortal set is amazing, i think i can take hell without even a skill..

I just question the zerker route... i already played a frenz barbarian, which i enjoyed, so i want to try something else.
with zerker you get 0 defense, and no mana leech, so i don't get how you can survive hell at all.
I'm guess +% damage taken converted to mana is 1 option.
or is that his vitlity is so high he's not dead so fast?

so my questions are :
survivability of zerker mauler?
and what skills would you recommend for a mauler which are not

the problem with mana is being solved adding

Manald Heal with 7% Mana Stolen Per Hit and Regenerate Mana 20%
I have never played for zerker, I am one of those who pumps

Berserk by 1 for kill immuns and puts free points in

Iron Skin after max warcries to life-mana and def

Archon Plate at my humble opinion some ppl says make Grief, i think Fort is better
I advise you to take a closer look at the rune word Honor ,the cheapness of the runes that it costs allows you to make it in

Eth weapons (it broke threw it out made a new one), which in combination with 160%ed will give good damage allowing you to destroy everything at the level hell - thats was 1 example fort is better than Grief u get 460% (460% ed at any base CARL !!!) ed at any 5 socket

put it aside for yourself right away

here is my main recommendation to you
1 find a

Manald Heal with 7% Mana Stolen Per Hit
2 find a base for Fortitude
3 find a

Eth base for Honor
4 make Fortitude
5 make Honor
6 kill them all
7 search for runes on Death
8 search 5 socket

Champion Axe

its not very hard for SSF

Believe it or not, tossing Honor in ethereal weapons was something I used to do a ton. In fact, that is the only rune word I remembered from those days. It is exactly as you say: cheap and potent.

Stun beserk) have the same attack speed, which would be slow with a

Maul.

Maul alone will let you deal with anything, assumin you got at least 1pt of zerk. Just fine for a ww as well, havin 60% ias within, and twisters gonna help greatly with non-ww attacks (even better with

Carrion Wind ring).

Mastery helps overall - and needed. But isn't a panacea - it just buffs your active atracks (be it a ww, zerk, whatever).

Pretty much simple, really. 20 ww, 20 mastery, 1 stamina/speed/ironskin/res, 1

Bash/

Stun/conc/zerk/

Leap/leapattack - that's 50 hard pts. The rest goes into warcries - 20 bo is a must, other skills are optional.
For coop,

Shout and command. For hork - some points to

Find Item, and to

Find Potion synergy (good result is 70%+

Find Item, but less is okay as well - quantity makes up for it).

I was wondering about WW barbarian, since i thought spears and polearms have longer reach than mauls, to be an advantage for such a barbarian wielder.

anyone have advice on AR for this build?

it seems there's alot of str requirements for wielding these heavy mauls, but also without decent dex you can't really hit?
I'm having only 80-85% AR on NM diff, on end of act2.

should i use that amulet+ring set that have tons of AR (forgot its name)?

or just invest more in dex instead of vitality.

have to say also, without vitality berzerker is extremely weak?

i know this is a niche build, but maybe you have ideas.

There's several sources of

Enchant, depending what you want.

Demon Limb allows you to self cast it.
Obedience has it inherently, and it's a good cheap/leveling RW anyway.
Lava Gouts also have it inherently, along with IAS and fire resist.

Demon Limb would probably be my suggestion, assuming you're going with a non-Obedience weapon.

yeah i do have Obedience but I want to be able to use

Gull/ali baba for item warcry.
at least with

Demon Limb i could dual it.

Obedience is real nice. or have something that has igonres target defense?
