Description

What if I got a switch weapon with fire (or some other) damage? Would a 6 slotted
Spear
class filled with rubys do anything in hell mode? Any spears I should look out for that do a lot of elemental damage that isn't lightning?

Can be used to make Runewords:

You can buy a
Wand
with
Lower Resist
. That should do the trick for most enemies before you can get Hands on an Infinity.

Prices are negotiable :)

Cool. A quick read says Infinity should be on a merc but I'm terrible at keeping them alive.

Where do acquire such a
Wand
?

Once proper geared, they'll keep themselves alive.

It must be a
Wand
with
Lower Resist
Charges tho. You can get them at any vendors that sell Wands.
But be careful, repairs costs can be really high.

Prices are negotiable :)

By shopping from
Akara
|
Drognan
|
Ormus
|
Jamella
|
Malah
.

It is also possible to just avoid Lightning Immune enemies, there should be no enemy in the game that is required to kill and lightning Immune in the same time.

There's a few areas with such high amount of lightning immunes that it ain't fun to do them on your own. Maggot Lair can be pain - especially when he/she has problems to keep the merc alive :x

Ah yeah, i forget those two
Geleb Flamefinger
(but that one is semi required because ou don't need to finish the 5th quest of act 3) and
Grand Vizier of Chaos
. Ok lets correct it to almost no required enemy is Lightning Immune :)

However, you will need it on 2.4 as I unnderstand.

Other Option is a merc with good low Budget gear (Treachery, vamp gaze or anything like this, Insight in an
Eth
Polearm) and let him kill the lightning mobs. Works also but takes a while to kill.

Add me if i win

As the above post I'd also recommend kiting out your merc.
The Reaper's Toll
+ Treachery helps your merc kill mobs fast and are both fairly easy to obtain.

I also like to keep poison/ele damage charms in my inventory, that + the physical dmg on your
Spear
helps to kill immunes.

lf godly plate of the whale

Max
Freezing Arrow
and get yourself a Melody bow in a +3 Amazon base bow on switch is another option.

I thought it is about you need to destroy the Compelling Orb with
Khalim's Will
and is possible to get the
Khalim's Flail
by killing just one of the 3 and not all of them.

Madawc

Yeah you'll just need the orb smashed so not all the Council killed is my understanding as well.

Do a search on the subject Infinity and you will find that its radius is pretty short for a fast javazon and also you will find yourself following the AI of your merc because he is never where you want him. Lot of players describe the use of Infinity as frustrating...

all true, in order to keep merc alive, you need Enigma - that way you can save him and put him right where is suppose to be.

regarding Issue: you have to think of this game as that they are certain locations where you have immune monsters lets say to lighting. other area has monsters immune to fire.

to clear both area you have to have 2 characters with 2 different element.

Check guides for farming certain bosses. If you wanna farm
Mephisto
(lighting immune) you need fire/cold character - sorc or bowazon or any melee.

Game is design that only very few builds like Dream paladin (super expensive) or hammerdin can clear almost everything.

Use a might merc, find a high damage javalin, spam throws/jabs until LI's are dead
A non
Eth
upp'ed Titans will do this quite well, as you already have
Penetrate
for AR and CS for damage
To further improve damage, use war travs/gores
Most LI monsters are very fragile, you don't need Infinity for them.
