Description
Drognan is a frequently visited NPC in Lut Gholein mainly for his chance to spawn excellent magical staves, scepters and wands for sale. Many players will repeatedly visit him in new games to 're-roll' his items until something valuable (such as good Leaf base staff) is found - it's the best to do so on a map with the town gate near Drognan. He also gives the quest The Tainted Sun.

An aged wizard of the Vizjerei Mage Clan. A man of few and private words, not many have even heard him speak. If he does, it is for a good reason, and one should listen.Can be used to make Runewords:

If a player is returning to town and needing only to refresh their potions, it is faster to purchase said potions from Lysander, than it is to purchase them from Drognan
The Lore blurb should be updated, as Drognan is certainly of the Vizjerei Clan, as evidenced by his dialogue: "Not long ago, one of my Vizjerei comrades who I believed died in Tristram [..]"

If you have broken the altar and obtained the Amulet of the Viper, yet Kaelan will not let you into the palace...talk to Drognan.
