while the uber ancients themselves are easy to beat as a smiter, I struggle big time keeping them as active target. Their minions amass around them, then they perform some special move and you quickly lose the aim. After that it becomes quite chaotic trying to aim at them again. Is there some trick to lock the Smite attack to the target until it is no more?

Hello there,
while the uber ancients themselves are easy to beat as a smiter, I struggle big time keeping them as active target. Their minions amass around them, then they perform some special move and you quickly lose the aim. After that it becomes quite chaotic trying to aim at them again. Is there some trick to lock the Smite attack to the target until it is no more?

If you use toggle for your show items or filtered items, you need to toggle it back off, this will fix the namelocking issue that has been occurring since RotW launched.
Happens to me every time because my muscle memory toggles it on when I make a game.

Wow, I had not imagined that my gameplay experience was not as intended and related to the show item states >.<. Many thanks, I will keep that in mind for next time!

What justin said. Except on occasion, you need to toggle it back on and and back off once more to restore the sticky targeting functionality.
