Negate lightning immunity

Hello folks,

maybe my question was answered a hundred times, but I haven't got/found a clearly answer yet.

Is a bad Infinity with 45% (to minus enemy lighting resistance) plus its level 12

Conviction aura (IMHO -85%) enough, to completely remove immunity from all monsters, or must it be a better Infinity? Or must it be combined with a Griffons?

There are only two abilities that can break elemental(*) immunities:

Conviction and lower res curse. The -45% from Infinity or griffons cannot break the immunity.

If an ability is to break the immunity, its strength is reduced to 20% of its value.
The other -res apply normally IF the immunity has been broken (by either

Conviction or curse).

Lvl 12

Conviction is -85%, 20% if that is -17%. You can check if the monsters you are interested in killing have > 117% light res.

To answer your question: you cannot break all immunities, especially for lightning enchanted bosses, but most.

One more comment: if your merc carries the Infinity, the -45% applies only to his attacks/skills, but not to yours. E.g. his

Chain Lightning benefits from it, but not yours.
