Nah, friend, you really do deserve praise, and public praise, imo.

Each and every one of the persons (just like you) that offer help, out of "gamer camaraderie", in a 25 year old game, deserve praise.

So there's no need to be stingy about praise when praise is due.

Just to be clear: I (we) am (are) not dead set on doing this "alone" (this was a PoE fixation of mine, but not this time). However, it seems/feels "wrong" to capitalize on gaining "free" items on a thread I initiated for advice on char build, and at a point in the game where I feel that I (we) can attain the power needed to make progress on my (our) own.

I feel that, one should ask for help whenever one needs help.

For now, I believe that the communal knowledge and insights is all the help I (we) need.

And, on that note, thank you all for contributing.

Terror Zones, the level of monsters can increase beyond their usual limits, depending on your character's level. In some specific areas, with the right conditions and player level, it may be possible to encounter higher-level monsters that have a chance to drop elite bases even in Nightmare difficulty. This requires the area levels in the

Terror Zone to be particularly high, which is more reliably achievable in Hell.

To seek out these rare treasures, I would recommend venturing into the depths of Hell where elite bases most commonly reside. Stay a while and listen, for knowledge is the greatest tool in your arsenal!

Yes, but not all bases - it depends on the Qlvl of the base. There are some elite bases that can drop in nightmare even without TZ, generally the lowest of each item type, but there are lots that can't drop in nightmare even with TZ. You can check the database here for elite items and sort by Quality level. Just to give you a basic understanding - Worldstone Keep is area level 65-66 in nightmare (without TZ), and

Boneweave (elite

Chain Mail) has a Qlvl of 62 and can drop there. TZ makes it easier to find elite bases in nightmare, of course, since it raises the area levels (to a maximum of 71 on nightmare).

If you're looking for a specific base I'd recommend a drop calculator, such as Nishi's - https://nishicode.com/#/dropfinder.
There are other drop calculators around, but as far as I know, Nishi's is the only one that actually properly handles TZ treasure class upgrading.

I can make Fazel (eventually) Chains of Honor, but he will lose the cbf. He now wears

Duriel's Shell.

I can also be extremely lucky and socket a

Cham in an ethereal

Skin of the Flayed One which I already own. I do not own a

Cham, of course.

Is Cbf critical for Fazel? (He will be triple aura stacking all the way so there's only the armor slot open for discussion)
