Description

Hi all. Looking for help on best approach for
Nova
sorce Merc set up. I want to run the stack with Cure and Insight with
Prayer
. Leaves me with CoH as the life line for survivability. Is this the right approach? What suggestions for armor to make it in? Do I got
Eth
or a 4OS
Archon Plate
incase I ever need it in a char. Trying to maximize use of runes since I’m no”rush” in the game YET?

Can be used to make Runewords:

We just had a big ol' discussion about that over here.
forums/best-option-for-infinity-t1668567.html

If you're poor on runes and aren't certain about CoH on merc then I'd make it in a non-
Eth
Archon Plate
in case you want to swap it to one of your characters instead.
If you are certain then make it in an
Eth
elite armor with the highest defense you can get your hands on.

I can trade RotW on xbox only, not PC.

All my
Blood Ring
and
Caster Amulet
priced at
Ist
or below are now FREE.

No reason to be uncertain. CoH is clearly the best option in this setup. Go for the best
Eth
armor you can get.

OP
Thanks guys. I don’t really see much reason to ever self wear it. Now I keep an eye out for the right armor. Appreciate it and thanks for the link to the other discussion.

* Highest def with suitable strength requirements. With Cure+Insight your Merc only gets 5 str (unlike setups with eg.
Andariel
's gaze).

Go for a superior with enhanced defense, they have max base def +1.

Lacquered Plate
,
Hellforge Plate
, and
Archon Plate
are the best choices and it depends on at which merc level you want to be able to equip the CoH.

D2R is nothing but a highly complex paper doll dress up simulator.

I've got 100+ crafted amulets (from cheap to gg). Let me know what you are looking for.

I know that question is strict about armor, but thats link directly to weapon choosing because with that setup (Coh + Cure), there is no room for additional IAS, so it's no point going for threshers.
I've attached sheet below what it looks like for each option (reminder to all, for Infinity we can choose from spears too, so there are better alternatives than those presented)

Trading for: runes / pgems / keys / yellow and green essences / low runes:
Ral
,
Hel
,
Nef
,
Sol
, Spirit runes,
Eth

To original purpose, if you plan to build only 1 armor, not multiple . I recommend you look into market or even make a WTB ticket.
You can get around 9-14
Ist
pricing from market . My first CoH comes from that pricing.
The difference between 0 and 1 is huge but the difference between worst and best is very small.

let's say, you get a base 400 armor with pricing 5
Ist
. That will make it 680.
vs
someone pay a huge price 10
Jah
to build base 1000 armor, 1680.

That makes
Dodge
6% difference, in practice, even if you wear it yourself (
Eth
wear) . You barely feel the difference.

So , solution is quite simple, just get cheapest one from market. As long as it is light armor, non
Eth
.

--
In my case, I can easily build 900
Eth
one or 800
Eth
light armor , but I still use 500+ base. It is unnecessarily to build it in
Eth
. even if it is for your merc.
You can just sell those
Eth
armor thing you get for resource.
The weapon, I agree there is difference between
Eth
/ non
Eth
. But armor, not it is not worth it. snice when you worry about little monster physical hit?
even if you face dangerous, it wont help you much. Most case, you die,
Eth
or not
Eth
armor.

I mean,
Eth
weapon are much important, you should thinking pay 1% more damage in weapon but not 100 Def on armor. You and merc is not get hit by physical all the time .

Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.
