I'm definitely not very rich so no crazy jewels or anything, but is it worth to put like Shael's or an IAS jewel or something in it? Definitely would like some advice before I just slap something into it.

Please use this ias calculator before putting in too many Shael's, they can be great but if you are at the breakpoint already then its much better to put Amn's for the huge life steal. I typically put 1 Shael and 2 Amns or 2 Shael/1 Amn if it pushes you to the next ias breakpoint. Or an Eth as @Khegan pointed out.

Yeah make sure you're familiar with the concept of breakpoints before dumping a bunch of shaels into it. It's not as simple as 'add X more increased attack speed, get X more attack speed'. Would be a shame to dump a bunch of shaels into it and not reach the next breakpoint.
