Does Whirlwind care which hand I hold my Grief in?

I think the answer used to be yes, but is now no? Just want to confirm. Testing seems to feel about the same regardless of which hand I main, but my offhand right now is

Dreadfang, so it also has about the same IAS on weapon (slightly lower base weapon speed though). As far as I can tell my frames are the same, I just would rather be able to proc

Amplify Damage with main hand using

Berserk and save points not using

Frenzy.

From playing around with the IAS calculator I got the impression that it's relevant what the base item of the main weapon is.

So if your Grief is in a

Phase Blade, you should use it in your main hand because it's the faster base.

But I might be remembering this incorrectly, better check out the IAS table in the calculator and compare them with the weapons swapped.
