An automated task is fetching walks from the website d2emu.com.
That's overwriting user's reports.
That's overwriting user's reports.
My timezone is CET/UTC+1.
OP
but why? I did report eu today, and it's report is from 5 day ago? it's stupid.
It is quite accurate fetching the info from d2emu.
OP
yes, I reported today and now it's "5 day ago". quite accurate....
Because the status has not actually changed since 5 days ago.
If your update replaced d2emu's then it would look like it changed now, and that's a lie, it would trick people that there is recent status movement when there is not.
EU SC NL last updated (to 3/6) on the 14th of August, 5½ days ago. It hasn't changed since.
d2emu is an automated live feed that actually "watches" the updates as they happen. If d2emu hasn't reported an update for days, it's because there hasn't been an update. Of course, there's also the possibility that d2emu is down, but Mysterio (the owner) is usually quick to repair it since there's thousands of people using and relying on d2emu for automated updates.

OK, so no people needed for updates. Sad...ShadowHeart wrote: 3 months agoBecause the status has not actually changed since 5 days ago.

PS: if I was a new user the name of the column "last updated" is not the precise. Should not it be "last changed"?
Hm, that's a fair point - what do you think, @Teebling?Johny82PL wrote: 3 months agoPS: if I was a new user the name of the column "last updated" is not the precise. Should not it be "last changed"?
But yeah, this has been talked about before. Back when it was only manual updates, some people were complaining that the tracker always showed the last time someone reported a status, not when it was last changed. Even if someone reported the same status as it already was, it would change the time and fool others into thinking that status had changed recently, but it was just someone reporting the same status as it already was. Now that we have d2emu, the status & time is always accurate and there's no need for manual reports (only if d2emu stops working, and it has a few times - but never for a long time).

D2emu sends diablo2.io updates every 15 minutes via webhook.
In these updates, the time given is the last time the status in-game actually changed.
Therefore if you make a manual entry now, then 1-15 minutes later, D2emu's report will overwrite your own, and the time provided is the last time the status in-game actually changed.
This is the current behaviour. Would you guys like it to be different, and if so, how would you like it to be different?

I think Johny82PL meant that it would be clearer if the tracker heading was "Last Changed" instead of "Last Updated".Teebling wrote: 3 months agoThis is the current behaviour. Would you guys like it to be different, and if so, how would you like it to be different?

Got it, I can make that change, and add a hover tooltip over the column header for further context.ShadowHeart wrote: 3 months agoI think Johny82PL meant that it would be clearer if the tracker heading was "Last Changed" instead of "Last Updated".Teebling wrote: 3 months agoThis is the current behaviour. Moving this to the feedback subforum and adding to the list for next sprint.
Do we have the manual updates enabled just in case d2emu is down? Because this sounds like the manual functionality has been fully replaced and having it on might be more confusing than it's worth.
If D2emu were to go down, manual updates are still possible.human_being wrote: 3 months agoDo we have the manual updates enabled just in case d2emu is down? Because this sounds like the manual functionality has been fully replaced and having it on might be more confusing than it's worth.
What was happening is that his updates went through but were quickly overridden within 15 minutes by the automated update. If the automated updates had stopped then his report would have stuck.
