so I just started playing again after a 6 month hiatus and im seeing now that people are doing "giveaways" for things like Enigma, Infinity, or

I answered this in the Enigma thread as well, but in short, it's legit. You gotta remember that some people have been playing non-stop for months/years and in that amount of time it's not exactly difficult to accumulate dozens of HRs, especially in non-ladder.

The biggest downside of these giveaways is the amount of notification spam it generates... :D
