I made this website where you can enter all of the mods on your rare item, and it will calculate a score for each specific use case (ie: caster, melee, PvP, PvM, etc).
-This site takes in to account how valuable each mod is for different use cases (ie: MF is good for PvM but not for PvP, etc).
-It will also show you how your ring compares to all other rings which have been entered on the site.
-You can immediately get a quick visual to tell if your ring is GG or Charsi food!
-It only supports rings right now, but I am working on expanding this to include: amulets, jewels, Boots, and gloves.
-For example, here's one of my best rings: (definitely keep)
https://d2charsifood.com/rings/ring/106
-Here's an example of a ring which seems kinda good, but is verifiably garbage when compared to all other options:
https://d2charsifood.com/rings/ring/121
-I strongly encourage feedback on how I set up the weights for each mod for each use case:

Thanks for sharin this info! Now I'm itchin to learn a proper value for some of my rares. Need to wait til he makes a job for circlets as well tho.
This looks like a potentially useful method for determining how good items are. However, respectfully, I would say the ring you said is really good isn't all that great. If you need it fire resist or resist in general for pvm or pvp, it could be useful. But, it has no life replenish, life, faster castrate, magic find, or leech. I would actually use the other ring for my pvm barb, cus hes good on resists and would benefit more from the 6 ll. Plus, for lvl 35, it's a decent ring. Taking into account whether arguably Key stats are missing from a rare item (like the ones i mentioned above) is likely worth noting, especially if you're trying to trade one for good value.
That's an interesting idea and could be a very useful tool. You could modify the weights based on what players generally find useful and what rolls together, such as resists and life being more important than something like attacker takes damage. So if your ring rolls with all three, the importance of resists and life should outweigh how useless attacker takes damage is for the ring's overall value.
You could also change the weights based on SC/HC. HC players value resists and life above all when it comes to rings, for example.

It says that my AR all res double leech ring is decent, but sometimes not only is important to consider the strenght of the rolls but also the combination of them. I think is a useful tool to see how many rolls are the best rolls, but not with regards to the combination of them.
Then again, I am biased, I love my double leech ring, even though it gets stomped in that calculator by my AR FCR ring, mostly due to the number of perfect rolls.

pretty cool but i have a ring with 8 stats and can not enter it or is there some other way i should be entering it?
If it has all ress and some res more than others, add the all res in one line, and the additional res in the following lines
Amazing that you even factored in synergies: I've seen a point system before but not one that also considered that GG life leech + GG mana != GGGGBillyMaysed wrote: 2 years ago Original Reddit Postcoolshoeshine wrote: TLDR: I made a website to quickly check how valuable a rare item is by checking all of it's mods, how useful they are for each use case, and how well that mod rolled.

Oh, my bad. thanks for the reply
The site also shows sub-scores for combinations of PVP, PVP, Caster, Melee, etc. Those scores are more accurate than the overall sigma, since the very best Caster Ring will be mediocre for melee and vice versa.
Neat site overall. The weights do need to be tuned more. I disagree with some of the weightings that result in rings like the example one being tagged as good. Have put in some entries myself, based on my own rings and some seen on trading sites, and results can be hit or miss.
Look forward to seeing this develop and if even trickier items like jewels can be added.
Edit: here is explanation of the weights ---> https://d2charsifood.com/blog/weightsRings There are also clearer breakdowns for each category, like here is the one for caster rings ---> https://d2charsifood.com/rings/usecase/25
FCR is somehow less valuable than +energy and +mana on caster rings, whaaaaaaat? Strength and life should have comparable weights, or at least give more weight to strength than to dexterity. And then poison and cold are given same weight for some reason?

i think the problem with any pricing or "keep this" calculations is that its 1. kinda subjective and 2. fluctuates like with any item value. But i think its still generally a decent guide to use, it just isn't the most accurate.Sekraan wrote: 2 years ago Neat site overall. The weights do need to be tuned more. It looks like the weightings have been improved in the last update. I haven't tested with rings - and can't easily find the ones I entered before, whoops - but the categories/numbers look better than last time at least.

oh thats awesome. i didnt know the guy was going to actively work on it too, i love all these new tools and guides random people are creating we get to use in D2R, makes the experience so much more fun to me. Since im a nerd and like to obsess over every tiny detail xDSekraan wrote: 2 years ago It looks like the weightings have been improved in the last update. Looks very cool.
I guess the Amulets are harder than the rings because of the +skills and weights?

Question:
- Will/are/should(?) fixed mods on crafted items (now or in the future) and if the stat exists as an affix or suffix be taken into account?
Example:
Crafted Caster Belt with a decent FCR, which does not "exist in the wild" as a suffix or affix but with only a couple of other mediocre stats.
Which only has a expensive unique alternative counter part (to get FCR on a Belt); Arach Belt, an alternative that relies on having set parts, yet is a fixed mod on the Belt.
From what I read the sigma could take care of of a part this but it sounds very reliant on people adding crafted items to the site.
Plus the Charsi score might be relative based on Unique/Set alternatives for the set of mods and how available/expensive these are, any thoughts on that?

Wow just found this, thank you for sharing about my site here too!
I just pushed an update this past Friday (1/7/22) which vastly improved the weights, and added jewels and Boots.
I'm fixing things as I learn about them so if you notice anything (wrong hard caps, missing mods, etc) please let me know!
Amulets are indeed harder cus of the + skills (circlets too). Currently trying to tackle those, figuring out how to fit them in to the database schema
