Which Griffon's Eye Is Stronger?

I was incredibly fortunate enough to have found 2 within a span of 3 days. These are the stats of the 2 I have:

-16% / +15%
-18% / +11%

I need some help determining which one is worth socketing my 5/5 Lightning Facet into. Thanks!

Depends.
What class/build are you? What does the rest of your gear look like?

Generalizing:
- Trapsins mainly only care about +dmg
- Javas want both but typically prefer -res
- Sorces want both but pretty much always prefer -res by a clear margin

For Javas especially you may easily reach breakpoints where 2 -res beats 4 dmg and vice versa. In that case, the rest of your gear does matter.

Theoretically, the same is true for a sorc but because the +dmg is only added to light mastery and isn't just a flat multiplier anymore, it is inherently much less of a bonus, making those scenarios where dmg beats -res a lot more rare.

in most of your cases i would choose the -18. If you're assasin i probably would just use a 3 traps

Thanks for the responses. I will be using it for my lightning sorceress. Sounds like the -18% one is the better option for me then.

In all likelihood, yes. I'd go with the -18 then.
