no Phoenix so my Qs:
3 piece Tal set and Flickering Flame, or full set...
max vit so no Spirit...
also FCR for safe tele (HC)....

I use Hydra/blizzard sorc with no issues in Hell difficulty. For gear I have Harlequin Crest Shako, Heart of the Oak Flail, Skin of the Vipermagi armor, Spirit shield, mana kaleidoscope amulet, aldurs advance Battle Boots, Arachnid Mesh Sash, Magefist Light Gauntlets, Stone of Jared ring, and a Death finger ring. Flame Rift grand charm and Cold Rupture grand charm for immunities. Other charms for resistances and plus skills.
A full Tal set and the immunity breaking charms also worked well for me when I was getting through hell as well.

If you have no fire facets, then the damage from hydras will be too low vs. sundered enemies to have a joyful experience.
Does your Emilio have Infinity?
What are you planning on doing with the remaining skill points after Hydra is maxed out and no ES? Enchant?
