by far the best place to farm is normal cow king and minions. other cows almost nothing. player count also very little.

Just level up a character to level 25 and start gambling. Level 25 has the highest chance to get it and is also the level needed to use Edge

MF has no effect on gambling
gambled item level depends on clvl, ranging from clvl -5 to clvl +4

Update: I lvl'ed a lock to 25. Gave him Edge.

As far as I can see, this means I should gun for cow king normal. He has 1:83 with 300 mf - which is ez to get in normal.
