This Lady kills Ubers:
I love Assassin, and I always wanted to have a working Blade Fury one. I created Furiosa, with the intention to level her as Blade Fury until it gets boring/ineffective and then respec her to Mosaic. But turns out I quite liked the effectiveness of the build and it really destroys anything in hell (at least up to players 3). So, I decided I will actually run Ubers with her. Mind you, I have never run ubers, and I decided my first time should be on hardcore.

My first attempt at lvl83 was complete failure. Lililth 1-shot my mercenary, and I ran like a scared dog back to town. Had to call a friend to come and carry me through the entire ubers set with his Paladin. At least I got some experience, and decided I should try again

Today I managed to solo the lesser Ubers with level 90. And I haven't even min maxed the build, e.g. I haven't socketed my gface and my weapon and I don't even have open wounds. True, Lilith took me 4 returns to town to Revive merc, and I gobbled about 50 full rejuvenation potions, but she died all in all. Below are the keys of strategy:
- #1 is the Merc actually. He has The Reaper's Toll, Blessed Aim aura for my hit rating, and Shako and Shaftstop so he doesn't die in 1 shot. His job is to proc Decrepify. He is not very tanky, in fact I am much tankier than him, but nevertheless without his Decrepify i cannot kill and this being hardcore I get scared shitless when Lilith is two feet away from me.
- #2 is of course Guillaume's Face. This build just doesn't work without crushing blow. Also, Laying of Hands goes without saying.
- #3 is a ring with Sigil Lethargy charges. This skill is simply broken, it makes killing any boss tons easier.
- #4 is the Obedience in an ethereal Mancatcher. Since Blade Fury doesn't use durability I can use an Eth one and go around with this on swap and proc level 21 Enchant on me. Also does decent damage, but I only dared to use it against Izual, since sacrificing the shield is extremely risky.
- #5 Shadow Killer - I can make a case that this is an actual BiS weapon for a Blade Fury sin. I tried Lacerator, I didn't like it. Also Stormshield. The assassin is very tanky, with lvl 22 Fade the damage reduction is very good.

Still, it wasn't walk in the park and Lilith really scared me, but then again it felt even more satisfying to kill her. I feel that Uber Tristram will be way too though, so I decided to pause now and do it later. Maybe will socket my Shadow Killer with an Um for open wounds. Though I also have a Duress that I can use. I have theorycrafted that my lightning protection against Mephisto should be enough (even switching to Schaefer's Hammer), but I feel that Baal and Diablo will actually be a problem.
I will update you when I beat the Ubers or die trying.
Maybe even Ancients one day.

Note: in both screenshots she is wearing Arkaine's Valor, which is not part of the build later

I'm surprised that you use Shadow Killer. Have you tried Fleshripper or Death runeword? Both have high ed, deadly strike and crushing blow. Fleshripper also has slows target which can be useful for bosses.
Anyway congratulations on your success with the mini ubers. Hopefully you'll be able to tell us soon how you managed to beat Uber Tristram as well.

by the way, the Obedience is built in the Mancatcher you gave me.
havent tried Fleshripper to be honest. i am thinking of Duress as swap armor and source of open wounds. Its got resists, sp should help against Mephisto. And I will probably build a CTA, because i think my hp is too low

Update.
I [almost] killed the Uber Tristram. I spent 90 Full Rejuvenation Potion and around 600k reviving merc and when I ran out of potions I asked for help to kill Diablo.

I had the same gear as for the lesser Ubers, the only difference being I added Call To Arms for buffing hp.

Mephisto was the easiest of the three because I had planned for him and fought him with 85% resistance after his aura. I switched to Schaefer’s Hammer for him, because of the 75% lightning res. I also wore an ethereal Duress throughout the event for the open wounds and that gave me nice all res. His summons were also the slightest problem. Interestingly Mephisto was aggroed immediately after I entered the portal, I didn’t know that can happen

I was expecting Baal to be super hard and he was. Initially I couldn’t separate him from Diablo, but when I started running away he kept teleporting on top of me while Diablo gave up the chase. The difficult part here was the Chilling Armor, which made him difficult to hit, his mana burn and his minions that are immune to physical. I had to swap gloves to Horazon’s Hold in order to hit him easier. Only when we managed to split the fight, my merc fighting the summons and leaving Baal exposed for me, we brought him down.

Surprisingly, Diablo turned out out to be the hardest and that was because of his minions. Although they are no issue to kill, they tend to Swarm and surround you and they drained me quite fast with their Inferno. As a result I was often running out of potions without being able to do any major damage to Diablo. I also had close calls, where I was surrounded, Bone prisoned and low on potions, I had to keep my cool and fight through so I could escape. Eventually I called for help to defeat him.

In hindsight I think some fire absorb would be good to have for his minions.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but today I managed a complete clear of Tristram by myself.

Build largely same, except now I used Schaefer's Hammer all the way. Armor was Duress on Mephisto for the increased cold resist, and Fortitude on Baal and Diablo for the +300% damage. Merc is now Might aura, because the offhand damage percentage really boosts Blade Fury. I used Demon Limb for prebuffing Enchant ( slightly more AR than Enchant from Obedience).

Fight went mostly the same. Mephisto's danger comes from the skeletons he spawns, especially the Horror Archers. After running around a bit, those spawns stay behind and he will be exposed and not spawn them again. He will murder the merc immediately, but I had max resists and could take him alone.

Diablo was much easier this time. I spawned all the Blade Sentinel traps around me and him, that insta killed his spawns whenever they appeared and gave me breathing room to wear him down.

Baal was a problem again, so we split with me tanking him and the merc aggroing the spawns. When merc managed to Decrepify Baal, the fight was over. Note:strangely I didn't see his Chilling Armor procing on my shurikens, it is either a bug or I was so occupied watching my health that I didn't notice what was hitting me.

So cool, quite an accomplishment! 👏

I did Ubers with my Fireball sorc ones. Won't do it ever again and will definitely not try this in HC. 😅 I basically had to Dodge so many attacks since they'd one-hit-kill me and it took like 10 minutes. I died a couple of times in the way. But I managed!

Playing HC SSF right now.

Hell completed: Sorc, Druid, Paladin, Ama, Assa, Necro, Barb
Iron Man (Paladin): Nightmare A1

the thing is that assassin is really very tanky. she has 3hp per vitality point, innate Fade that in my case is at lvl 20 after all bonuses and several protective spells like Cloak of Shadows and Mind Blast. she is very difficult to kill

edit: perhaps I should be careful with such statements to not jinx

And yeah, now my Furiosa is dead, killed by disconnect during tz encounter with cow king with Conviction aura. At least I am content i [almost] did nothing wrong. Well, I forgot to swap Enigma with Fortitude, maybe if I was wearing the latter, she would be able to tank him for a few hits. I also took two seconds too long to realize I was lagging, and I did Save and Exit perhaps too late. Anyway, my most successful character ever is now dead.

In memoriam to Furiosa: lvl 93 Blade Fury assassin. She successfully defeated Ubers 4 times, including once entirely on her own and she slayed dclone two times. She found many a high rune and items. She overcame many challenges, but in the end her luck ran out when she needed it the most and she fell. Rest in Peace, your deeds of valor will be remembered. Your legacy remains and others will pick it up.
