First time playing diablo 2; only a few months of playtime. Playing offline. I've been running a Frozen Orb sorc w/ fire secondary and I'm stuck at hell trav. The council members are spawning as fire/cold immune and my merc is dying too fast for him to chip them down. What can I do to progress? Im level 79 running Spirit sword, Shako, crafted Boots, Smoke chest. Is it time to just give up and roll a secondary??

Try to drag them out 1 by1 into the open area that way not getting overwhelmed by all of them.This the way I first did it.

I thought I can only get sunder charms in hell tz?
You better make a Smoke for your merc.
Black Hades isn't crazy and you should make a better weapon.
Keep Tal Rasha's Horadric Crest
Edit : his weapon isn't bad if you upgrade it with Recipe: Elite Version of Unique Weapon and it will be pushed to 74-505 damage.

so I gave my Smoke to my merc. Pul is the highest rune I have currently and I only have one of them so is it worth getting the recipe vs trying to find a base for Insight?Tornado_OLO wrote: 10 months agoYou better make a Smoke for your merc.

hell yeah i made it past! luring them out one at a time worked really well and my merc was able to 1v1 the fire/cold resist one with Smoke! thanks yall
Find a base for Insight instead. It's cheaper to build, and with the right base, a better weapon in the long run. Hone Sundan isn't worth upgrading because it's not a very good endgame weapon for a merc and it doesn't help you out with any auras or chance to cast curses. You also don't know when you'll find another Pul that could be used toward a better runeword like Heart of the Oak, although you certainly don't need that either as dual Spirit is enough to get you through the game.

If you don't need mana regen, go Obedience.
