D2R Vs LoD Seeds & LK Farming (Single player)

Hey all, (this is obviously single player) I'm playing D2R a lot again recently, have a HC barb I'm grailing with, currently running LK runs, double location 4 super chests. What I'm wondering is was there a big change in D2R with how seeds/drops work? I've done over 15K+ runs in LoD, I found tons of runes and I dont just mean HR's, I mean all runes. I find in D2R, it's a lot less ,am I just selling myself on this or has someone done the deep dive to figure it out?
