Description

Hi

Is there any way to keep two unique charms at the same time?

(Yeah... Some scum bag stole my recently dropped
Annihilus
while I went to town to put my current one on the shared stash... 🤦‍♀️😡)

Can be used to make Runewords:

Not that I know of... I spected my Zealer that he can fully equip his gear without his anni (18 stats). Of course this costs me some points but I can farm DClone and immediately pick up the anni.

I only farm annis in public games (trade rooms) when no one else is already attacking the Clone. In a few situations, I was able to secure someone else's anni this way which would otherwise have been stolen...

After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)

Nope. You can't even hold an UNID one while already holding another. Unless of course they're different unique charms (e.g. Anni and
Gheed
's or the like).

Just drop your Anni in the stash before going after DC if there's anyone else in the game. Same for torch on Ubers. Though the latter really should be a private game. :)

Put the old one in the stash (and be prepared to fight without it). This is the only safe way.

Well, most players I met so far were not able to fight DClone without their anni. Yesterday I was in a game with a Barb who was completely naked when he put his anni in the stash to pick up the unid one 😉 The problem is not only that you have to go back to town - without gear most chars move like a snail, too and therefore it is even more difficult to get the anni before someone else comes in and picks it up...

In public games you can also use less usual places to kill DClone if you manage to make him pop.

For example,
Cathedral
is not a bad place to fight and is less popular than Palace Cellar or
Frigid Highlands
, and may leave you more time to go back to town.

Like has been mentioned - on your primary dclone killer, invest enough str/dex so that you can use all your equipment without an anni, and gear so that your res is maxed without an anni. And then just never wear an anni while going after dclone, so you can pick up the new one immediately.

It's just a matter of preparation - invest your stat points accordingly, reset if necessary. The convenience of not having to run back & forth to your stash is worth it 💯%.

The only time I use an anni on my primary dclone killer is during the very early ladder stages when I'm still severly undergeared.

I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.

Cathedral

@fredkid I have currently 160 unid annis in my stash. If you want, pick a number between 1 and 160 and this one is yours 😉🙂

Thanks, but not needing one at the moment. Save for the newcomers 👊👊

I was just a little frustrated, because I was with a non-end game character (still finishing hell with him) and so take a significant time to take down DClone.. 😓😓

And to make things worse I "know" the user, he already entered in my public games a couple of times declaring Hostility 😡😡

On the bright side, the user is not a diablo2.io user 🤗

You can leave and rejoin your own game with a better suited killer. If you just pressed "PLAY" rather than make a lobby game, then you need to open the party screen (press P), click the eye symbol, and carefully write down what it says (GameXXXXXXXXX - a bunch of numbers, make sure you get it correct). Then save & exit, choose a killer character of your choice, enter lobby, and input the "GameXXXXXXX" part in both the game name and the password fields. You can test this at any time (without an anni at stake) if you're unsure.

👍
But In the case I wanted to try If my current character was able to kill DClone (yes he could 👊💪 - he is just not good at that yet...)

(I was not hunting DClone, I was just finishing my quests in a public game and DClone spawned...)

Mate, I know how that feels... A while ago in a "trade" someone stole 50 unid annis which I collected with my sons (worth ca. 4
Jah
). And the worst part is that he also knew that some of them were farmed by my kids...

Fair enough! Well, you're always at risk of anni snipers in public games, so you have to be prepared for it. Spawning him in an uncommon location, like others have mentioned, might be the best remedy for that.

If I am not mistaken you can select and copy the name, too (much faster and more reliable)

EDIT: I was mistaken 😁 This is only possible in input fields in the lobby.
