Description

Hi

My character is in the middle of Act 5 Quest 1 Nightmare (the icon of the quest is colored/active for me if I create a public a game myself)

But I entered on two Nightmare public game (created by other players), where all other players were at Act 1/ Act 2, and the game shows me the Act 5 Quest 1 as not started yet (and clicking on the NPCs do not change that...)

What did happen?

I expected that The icon at least appear colored with the message "cannot be completed on this game", but not as "not started" 🤔🤔

Quest states go off whoever made the game. You only see "can't be completed" if the person who made the game has already completed it. If the person who made the game is only in A1/2 then the A5 quest could not possibly have been started yet. If the quest hasn't been started yet, you can still complete it - but be aware that if you do that before the other players reach/travel to A5, you'll prevent them from being able to do the quest in their own game.

It can be considered bad manners to enter a public game where people are trying to play through the game organically, go to an act they haven’t yet reached and complete a required quest, locking them out from continuing (they’d need to make a new game to complete that quest).

I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.
