Do Explosive Arrow skill fire damage apply just to explosion or to projectile too?

No data yet

Description

When you use
Exploding Arrow
:

all your fire damage from equipment and other skills (
Enchant
,
Holy Fire
, etc...) are added to the projectile damage and to the explosion damage (ok - most sources say that)

But, according to maxroll, the
Exploding Arrow
skill fire damage, is added just to the explosion while other sources say that the fire damage of the skill is added to the projectile and explosion (like your "regular" fire damage)

Take this example
https://maxroll.gg/d2/d2planner/wb1k0fb5

This Paladin has
Holy Fire
18 + 4 points in
Resist Fire
(292-408 Fire damage)
Cow King's Hooves
(25-35 Fire Damage)
Raven Claw
(
Exploding Arrow
3: 17-27 Fire damage)

The calculation details says,
that the projectile deals 317-443 Fire damage (sum of only the first two)
While the explosion deals 334-470 Fire damage (sum of the three)

Is Maxroll right or wrong in this case?

Do the same rule applies to the other similar skills?
(
Immolation Arrow
,
Freezing Arrow
)

Amazon Basin:
Skill damage is only applied by the explosion, while attack fire damage (including that from Enchant and Holy Fire) is added to both the arrow and the explosion. +% Fire Skill Damage only applies to skill damage.
Unless it was fixed/changed in D2R (no such change in Patch 2.4), I'd assume the skill damage is added only to the explosion.

Freezing Arrow has the same mechanics (from the same source):
Skill damage is only applied by the explosion, while attack cold damage is added to both the arrow and the explosion. +% Cold Skill Damage only applies to skill damage.
And Immolation Arrow:
Skill and attack fire damage are applied by both the arrow and the explosion. +% Fire Skill Damage only applies to the skill's explosion fire damage: despite what is displayed, it does not apply to pyre fire damage per second.

Ravenclaw fires Explosive
Arrows
, it doesn't mean that you gained a lvl3
Exploding Arrow
. You still use normal attack not a skill attack.

Relax and have fun!

As far as I understand, and tested, your normal attack actually cast
Exploding Arrow
(but with no mana cost) instead of doing your regular attack.
But, yes, you use your regular attack Key not a skill key (unlike with Charges or os Skills).

Same for
Magic Arrow
with the "Fire magic arrows affix"

And each of those affixes have a level attached to it (3 in the case of
Raven Claw
)
