Holy Fire Spear Zealer question

Hello, im making an off-meta build from post from 2007. Its a Obedience based Holy Fire Zeal paladin.

Skills: HF +2 synergies maxed, max Zeal and Sacrifice

Items:
Head: Guillaume's Face ( Um)
Body: Treachery
Hands: Laying of Hands
Belt: String of Ears
Feet: Gore Rider
Amulet: Highlord's Wrath
Ring: Raven Frost
Ring: Leech + res
Weapon: Obedience

Is there a benefit in this build to put more Str and Dex than most demanding item?
What skillers to use?

does ur merc have Infinity?

Not a pro, but I'd say vit > STR /DEX for this build. Compared to other paladins, you don't have a shield, meaning no Holy Shield and no access to the massive pool of resistance from there. That means you also probably won't be running a Sunder Charm for Fire. Other than your Obedience, you have no source of -fire res either.

Meaning, you're essentially playing a melee zealer without the benefits of shield, Grief, Holy Shield, and so on. You're going to need the health!

Now, you could go more into the fire damage with a sunder charm and Flickering Flame with merc Infinity too.

That doesn't change that Vit > STR/DEX though.

Thx for advice i will stick with GFace for 35CB 30FHR and +15res from Um, I will add a bit higher Srt and merc with Might, to have 2 sources of dmg and higher life leech.

I dont have Infinity yet.

Im using -71 sunder with 3x11fire res charms. My res are: 81fire, 75 all other after Trech proc.

Im using Manchater for Obediance and i have 4 attacks per second, good for life leech.

You might want to consider more damage reduction if you can afford it. Chains of Honor and Crown of Ages can both help a lot when you don't have a shield

I would run max vita, because your physical damage is nowhere near the same tier as a normal zealot. So extra points into strength is not as much of a damage boost. Extra points into dex is a waste on a melee character--there are much better ways to boost your chance to hit--and you already have Enchant on this build anyways

Self-cast Holy Fire builds that I've seen put a lot more into +skills gear, so that means Flickering Flame, +2 skills on the armor, offensive aura skillers. Infinity on your merc of course

It's up to you how you want to balance elemental damage with good physical damage and the life leech that comes with it--this balance I think is the most important thing to figure out. And +skills gear doesn't usually have ias, so that's the other part of the puzzle. 78 ias for the 5+11 Zeal breakpoint is not easy to hit
