Hire prices for my L87 sorc are 48125 for the Fire, and 53900 for the Cold Rogues. Yeah, definitely something wrong with the prices on your screen!

Because the game he created was Normal level. The price is for normal level merc. I think it is because blizzard did some skills, auras and level etc. normalization for merc on all levels, I guess somehow they forgot to change the hiring price.

Today I learned that if you want a 95% discount on your mercs, load up in Normal mode.
